Dirt Rally 2.0, Middle-Earth, and Bad North are also part of Game Pass for PC.

For those potentially interested in this month’s bundle here is a decent list of clickable links to all the games.

argh!! i didnt think about this! thats annoying!

Two games I already owned, ten I didn’t. Yoink!

I paused this month because it seems like the higher rated games I’d want to play are already on game pass.

Two Point Hospital is also coming to gamepass next month (xbox only?).

I’m probably going to buy the bundle even with it. First hours of Shadow of War & Dirt Rally 2 were fun.

I’m also a little frustrated with the fact that shadow of war isnt the definitive edition. Now I have to hold off playing because I’ll have to wait for a sale on the DLC, which apprently enhances most of the core experience, so you want to play with it rather than get it later.

EDIT: JFLS makes a good case below to play Shadow of War without the DLC

Yeah, Shadow of War without the DLC is the only real bummer with this list. Otherwise, pretty slick overall!

Is that so? I checked Steam and all the DLC seem to be getting Mixed to Mostly Negative reviews. Unless I’m missing something. Is there a particular one that should be considered “essential”?

There is absolutely no need to put off playing Shadow of War because you don’t have the DLC. The two “Tribes” ones add some variety, but the base game is already so stuffed with content that they are al most superfluous.

The “Blade of Galadriel” adds some story missions to the main game, but it’s nothing to write home about. It is far, far from being essential.

The Desolation of Mordor is great. I think I almost liked it more than the base game because it requires a very different hit-and-run approach. However, it’s completely stand-alone. It takes place after the story of the main game and has you playing a different character. I suggest that you finish the base game before deciding if you want to get it.

Thank you for this JFLS! It’s the tribes updates that was described as stuff as I didn’t want to miss, but you’ve changed my mind.

Flame in the Flood is now in the trove.

There’s also a free Headsnatchers today.

Spawn from SoulCalibur 2 got his own bundle.

86 books for a dollar, or 180 with the full purchase.

Continues from their last Spawn bundle that ended with issue 122.

Pause reminder for the monthly. It should charge later today.

There’s also a Star Trek comic bundle with 80ish books for a dollar. I’ll probably grab the highest tier to see what “Star Trek Green Lanterns” & “Star Trek vs Transformers” are like.

I need to choose my 10 and I don’t know what to not choose. Any advice?

Slam picks:

  • Shadow of War
  • Graveyard Keeper
  • Two Point Hospital
  • Dirt Rally 2.0
  • Street Fighter V
  • Bad North
  • Trailmakers

I grabbed them, but I wasn’t really that excited about them:

  • Grip (or Grid?) Combat Racing
  • Whispers of a Machine
  • Mages of Mystralia

I skipped them:

  • Unrailed (no friends)
  • My Little Pony Fight Night

Grip is a really fun, really fast combat racer. I’ve been enjoying my time with it.

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately my basic preferences are really different:

  • Grip: I love Rollcage, and have been looking forward to this.
  • Unrailed: great for my kids (I’m always on the lookout for local multi)
  • My Little Pony: looked interesting and good reviews
  • Whispers of a Machine: I like point and click, even though I never find time to play them
  • Two Point Hospital: I like Theme Hospital.

Doubts:

  • Shadow of War: I already have the first one and never played it. There was some controversy about this one when it was released?
  • Bad North: reviews mention it’s a game that ends way too fast. True?
  • Trailmakers: seems cool for a very short time?
  • Mages of Mystralia: no idea?
  • Graveyard Keeper: reviews say it’s Stardew with more grind?
  • SFV: DLC is near mandatory?

Shadow of War had tons of grind (strongholds) and I think 2 or 3 types of currency to unlock stuff, some free some paid, anyway it all got removed / reworked and turned out to be a great game a year or so after release, or so I read.

Bad North is fantastic. A single run isn’t super long but there are plenty of reasons to dive back in.
