I’ve been skipping so many months I decided to toss in for this one since a few games tweaked my interest, although there was nothing that I was planning on buying (aside from Sunless at one point way back when). Goes against my ‘I’ll only buy if something is on my wishlist’ rule, though. I may bow out of the Humble Choice entirely soon; the value for the cost at full Premium is quite low, IMO, and it appears I may have jumped into it just as the game quality fell off.

Someone needs to report in how Basement is.

All 12 games this time, no choice. I also had “LIMITED TIME: $4 off Humble Choice” at the top of the page. YMMV, I’ve been pausing a lot.

These are the no DRM bonuses:

Haven’t dived too deep at the moment, but the character animations feel like I’ve done too much speed. Everything’s so jumpy and the music is a bit trippy and repetitive.

There’s potential for a good strategy game as long as drugs don’t offend you. Reminds me of “Fallout Shelter” for drug dealers.

Well I’ve Demo’d 6 and got it for PS4 really cheap, but haven’t dived into it.

Here’s what I know so far, it’s a different developer, I believe, but you can’t really tell. It uses 5’s era system, the speeches are back, the raiding is fine, the missions can force you into some difficult situations which will frustrate some, challenge others, and keeps things from going on rinse and repeat mode.

They were ambitious enough to try and add new ideas but not enough to actually mix things up. So if you like the recent versions, there is no reason to believe you won’t like this latest one. It’s more Tropico!

Correct. Limbic Entertainment made a couple of Might & Magic products for Ubi.

heavy pause. not sure how this successfully competes with gamepass for my money any more.

I put a handful of humble codes in giveaway thread. Beat the lurkers.

Yeah, lots of indie stuff. I guess if you’re interested in those specific games it’s fine, but they need a headline AAA game to keep me interested every month.

Yeah, it doesn’t for me either. I guess this is still better for people who are attached to the idea of “owning” their library, and obviously Humble can’t come close to the money that Microsoft is throwing around to get games onto the service. But for me, it’s just not working. I think I’ve only kept one month out of the last year.

I hit the pause button since I own Shadows Awakening and Sunless Sea, so my only real interest here was Sunless Skies.

Then Humble offered me $4 off to not pause. $8 seemed like a much better deal just on Sunless Skies, plus Autonauts, Iron Danger, Fae Tactics and The Uncertain all look somewhat interesting, and I know the Tropico games are good, I just never seem to get around to playing any of them that I own. So I went for it. Nicely played Humble Choice, my backlog thanks you.

I feel dirty, I took the 4$ offer discount. I am probably not going to play anything except the sunless games, because of my backlog. But I still feel like being a cheap bastard…

Anybody else got the 6 month US$9 offer for Classic?

Yep, but did you see the fine print on the coupon. “This price is locked in for 6 months, and this offer will be void if your subscription is canceled or paused.”

yes I did notice that

I went to pause my sub for this month because honestly the only games I’m remotely interested in are the Sunless titles and maaaybe Tropico, but they offered me the $4 off bribe so I figured, well, OK then.

Is the Warhammer Black Library audio books good? Didnt know there was THAT MUCH warhammer novels. Jeebus and its all audio only?!? is that good? worth 18 bux for all of it? Probably is, though I dont even commute anymore working from home WTF! Something like at least 10 hours each and like 20+ books.

FYI the retail of the audio books is around 30-40 bux EACH. Frikkin Warhammer.

I can’t speak to production values etc on the audiobook versions, but I can say that there are maybe 4-5 authors writing Black Library stuff that are any good, and probably only three of those are legitimately good rather than just readable (Dan Abnett, Sandy Mitchell and Aaron Dembski-Bowden). But they do have some of those in that bundle.

There are over 50 novels in the Warhammer 30K “Horus Heresy” series alone, forget about the rest of the 40K universe. And most of them have audiobooks.

Pause reminder for choice. Charges friday.
