So I ended up getting the monthly last night anyway and just gifted away the games I didn’t want.
I apparently have quite a few friends who have anime games on their wishlists.

I find the Bundle to be an excellent and inexpensive way to add to the backlog of games I was never gonna play anyway. I consider it a bonus when they post games I don’t like, so there’s no danger of me actually (shudders violently) playing them. How gauche!

This guy gets it.

I mostly visit this thread for posts like this, thanks. Much more useful than ‘oh god anime’ and ‘shovelware.’ Most of which I view with some skepticism.

Still gonna skip this month I think but I appreciate the feedback and love when people try and talk me into it.

You can play Overcooked 2 online with other people and also have a memorable experience.

Eneba store is legit, for example, and has improved their key redemption too, so I am buying game keys from there now, though before did from humble bundle. Plus, they have a really noteworthy variety of games, both older and upcoming

Just got an email with a coupon for 6 months of Choice for $6/month. Can’t pause. Probably still not worth it to me, but still a bit tempting.

I can’t figure out how the coupon works. I click on it and it just seems to take me to the bundle.

edit - oh there is a thing at the top of the page now.

Well, now I can’t figure it out. And I’m not sure I want to!

I got the same offer. The “catch” is that you cannot pause, so essentially you’re pre-paying $6 each for the next 6 monthly Choice bundles no matter what they contain.

That is still an excellent deal for most people though, as I’ve yet to see a Humble Choice Bundle that wasn’t an absolute steal at $6. Even this month (which I assume will be Month #1 of 6 for people who accept the offer), which I’m not overly fond of, has Children of Morta (well worth $6 on it’s own),Overcooked 2 and Path of Giants. Chances are, unless your digital games collection is quite large, you’ll get $6 of value (and more) out of each of the next 6 Humble Choice bundles.

Once I unpaused it was showing I would be billed $6 for the next cycle. Not particularly intuitive, but I guess clicking the link in the email activates it for your account if you are not paused.

Ah, yeah, I’m paused, that explains it. That reduces my temptation, since the current month has nothing that I want.

You and me both. Give me a month like the one with Planetfall and BSG Deadlock in it or even the one where it first went over to Choice, and it would be worth it, but this month in particular almost seemed like it was especially designed not to appeal to my tastes.

Not available for current subscribers, meh.

I am a current subscriber. I haven’t tried the coupon, so maybe it wouldn’t work, but seems kind of dumb they would give me a coupon I can’t use?

When I clicked the link at the top of the subscriber page, it told me I wasn’t eligible. Heh, maybe I haven’t paused enough over the last few months.

I’d send you my coupon if I could :(

We are probably getting close to Pause before billing time right?

Hm, the coupon is good until Jan 1, will that be in the next month? Maybe I can wait and see if the January bundle has anything I want…

Nope. The coupon ends when the new bundle starts.

Great deal. I’d probably be tempted to start a 2nd account if I hadn’t already paid for this month.

Apparently classic people are being changed to premium for this one. I assume it’s something they did wrong, but a warning just incase.

I had a moment when I was going to jump back in with the coupon but then remembered what I said earlier about having just too many games in my backlog and, even if it was a good deal, avoided the pull. Keeping in mind that it’s not a good deal if I can never find time to play the games.
