Last I played it enjoyed it but it’s been a while. It’s coming along slowly and does have potential.
Wow not a bad month at all, I only have three out of the ten games already!

My relentless negativity pays out handsomely, I tricked God and got a decent bundle! Unp-p-p-p-paused for Mafia remake. Definitely worth eight dollars.

Hmm, Midnight Protocol is actually on my wishlist. Dunno if it’s enough to carry the entire bundle by itself for me, though, as I doubt I’d even install any of those others.

Oh I’m not installing any of them. That’s crazy.
Happy to grab a bundle for the first time in months.
I have been playing it on and off for a bit, but not recently. It’s an interesting idea, but I never unlocked more then 3 ships.
It’s really random though. Some events give you feats, but they can be negative or positive.

That is a really good bundle for Mafia and Iron Harvest. I already have Mafia and Iron Harvest is on Gamepass so I’m not sure I’ll unpause - but no gripes about the quality of the games there.
Already have Iron Harvest and the DLC on Epic, but this is a good bunch for the most part. I’m wondering how I never knew about The Henry Stickman Collection; that looks like loads of fun and boasts a 98% on Steam.
Mine is 245, and Iron Harvest is the first time Humble has connected with any of it in 6 months.

The first Mafia is the only one I haven’t played, hope the story is good. Nice bundle :)
Nice! That looks neat. This bundle looks better and better.
Also I looked up Midnight Protocol, and it doesn’t have many reviews on Steam, but it’s a tactical RPG, but it sounds like it’s up to something different because it has a “keyboard only” control scheme, that could be interesting too.
I wish they’d been able to keep the same voice acting for Mafia because I liked the original Tommy better, but oh well. I’ll be interested to see what they’ve done with the remaster.
I see a marked lack of platformers and weeabo games. Some folks must be going through withdrawals right now. ;-)
Is it (Between the Stars) a 4X or more of a space trading/exploring thing?

Me! I ended up buying Ender Lilies outright because I couldn’t wait for it to be the HB “indie metroidvania” selection a half year from now.
Exploring/fighting game. You fly around different solar systems in a capital ship with a small crew. You have hard points for weapons, shields, and misc items. You jump to a solar system, and there’ll be a planet you can land on, a space station and maybe a few other points of interest.
As you fly around, completing the campaign, you’ll get pinged about traders in trouble, or pirates, or savage that you can fly towards. You might come across a space plague, which you’re medical crew can try to help with, or ambushes to fight off.
In many of these cases, you’ll roll some sort of check, with your best crew member (and what every bonuses you feats give) and success or failure, something might come out of it. I got some interesting traits, blue prints for items (which you unlock for all future captains).
I got traits that help my crew gain experience, but reduces the experience gain of the captain. I think I got a cowardly trait. I started with a Trait that boosted missile damage at the cost of laser damage.
Anyway, I stopped playing because I had enough money for a new ship, but at the time, no new ships were available. If I jump in again, I’ll need to restart, because I’ve also lost complete track of the story line (which I’m sure is still being worked on as well).
Sounds promising. Hope they’re actively working on it.
It’s got good bones, but it’s relatively bare in terms of graphics and glitzs. You fly into a planet, and suddenly, you have the planet screen up with locations you can click on. The space station is similar, except you have to navigate into a specific area of the space station, and suddenly you are there.
But, that was a while ago, I’m sure a lot of work has been done to it.
Now if only they had a kick ass sound track like Rebel Galaxy.
Thrilled to see Midnight Protocol in there, since I had been eyeing it in the holiday sale. I think it’s more of a hacking simulation than a typical tactical RPG. What I’ve heard is that if you liked Uplink, Midnight Protocol is a no-brainer.
That looks pretty neat as well.
The other one that looks interesting is Rebel Cops, in an Invisible Inc. kind of way (at least if it’s turn-based).
Of course I realize few things could be as good as that game is, what with the cool 60’s spy movie aesthetic.
