I kept hearing about the “Don’t Pause Bribe” and never got them either for a long time, but they finally started happening for whatever reason. Now it seems to happen when you’ve bought the previous bundle but try to pause the current one. But if you pause 2 months in a row they don’t offer it anymore the second time.
LOL. I went right from this thread to pause another month (I paused last month) and two clicks into pausing…

Maybe it’s a regional thing? I’m in the US. I see this offer every time I choose to skip a month after having skipped the month previous as well. It will NOT show up if I purchased the previous month and then decide to skip the current one.
If I was looking to purchase one of those games, that’s where I’d buy them. If you don’t go for key resellers, then look about a third of the way up the page-- prices are around $5 higher but still not $30.
Oh, maybe I was remembering wrong. Let’s see, what was the one previous to April’s (<–which I paused)?
I want to say the last one I got was the one with Desperados III and the Mass Effect games.
Are you on an annual plan? If so, you don’t get them.
You can still pause with the yearly subscription? That’s pretty cool, so they just bump it out another month?
As I understand it, yeah. I’ve only ever been month-to-month (for about 5 years now).
Again get out of here with that grey market shit.
Nope, I’m completely comfortable with it. You are of course free to make your own decision.
I’m on an annual sub. Pausing pushes out the next annual billing by another month, and I’ve never gotten any discount incentives for canceling a pause.
You’re comfortable dealing with places that deal in stolen keys? That are anti-developer? Well hey you do you I guess but it’s a bullshit practice and I’m gonna call it out when I see it.

I don’t think that’s true. I just paused again and they tried to bribe me. I’ve only bought 3 choice bundles in the last year though, so maybe they try to bride more?
Seriously, at that point I’m not sure why you wouldn’t just pirate it, “free” is an even better discount. The whole point of paying for a game is to support the folks that made it, if you’re not doing that why are you paying money for it at all?
Exactly. Devs have said they’d rather you pirate their game than support grey market resellers.
I don’t buy from sites that disregard or even accept poor provenance of their keys, I wouldn’t buy a stolen or fraudulently acquired key purposefully. Otherwise I’m basically fine with it. If you want to have a longer discussion about this, we can start a new thread.
Nah I’d rather not give this shit any more oxygen than it deserves.
Looks like a pretty great bundle to me. Only one here I’m not at least mildly interested in is Genesis Noir, since I tried it and didn’t care for it on Game Pass. Planet Zoo is a pretty big get, price-wise, and one I’ve been wanting to try. Spellcaster University looks like my kind of indie. And I’ll always try a new city builder like Surviving the Aftermath.
Humble App is updated today with Crying Suns and Into the Pit as well.
Have to agree it’s a nice spread of games for me; lots of wishlist stuff and only a little proverbial chaff (which may still be good). I’m a light touch, I guess but Humble helps me keep in check when I get tempted to go on a buying spree.
Anyone play the Sponge Bob game?
Otherwise decent bundle for the price.
