I did not want to clean my keyboard today!

I’m pretty sure there’s an ointment effective for when you have nut-crumbs. Or maybe it was unguent…

Perhaps a salve. Or a serum.

I can attest that I’ve successfully put a keyboard in a dishwasher to wash out some Canada Dry ginger ale my son spilled in there.

The important elements: use the gentlest cycle possible and top rack only. Do NOT use any detergent. And let it dry for several days before trying to use it. Finally, just to be safe, I sealed off the USB port at the top of the cable (it was a wired keyboard).

It still works, with no stickiness whatsoever. It is a super cheap Amazon $20 special, so I was willing to risk it; I can understand not being so cavalier with something more expensive.
