Best stick I ever (and still) owned:
I though the MS joysticks and the other looked to plasticy so I went with Thrustmaster F-16 FLCS + TQS(?). Which were great until those kind of input ports no longer worked… :)
Still got my X-52 Saitek though.
If you guys are gong to post pictures of your joysticks here you need to be holding them with a death grip while screaming at your monitor at the very least.
In my youth, this seemed like the perfect controller. I still remember the distinct click sound each movement produced.
I had that stick… it was solid.
As a kid I had both the Tac-2 and the 500XJ Epyx above. I LOVED that 500XJ Epyx.
In recent years, I’ve picked up a Strategic Commander and a Nostromo n52. Between those and half a dozen fightsticks and six-button USB gamepads, I’m all set for weird-ass input devices!
I assume Brian also has this one?
Shame they didn’t use a normal usb plug.
There are a variety of USB to XBOX adapter, and I think there was even a Windows driver effort for it (probably never went through?).
Kix’ Speedking was the joystick of my early computer days as well.
Anybody remember that vapourware console of theirs, which was basically that Steel Battalion joystick turned into a console, in the late 80s? Or was it even real.
Yea, think I have a v0.2.11 of the driver from 2005, but never got around to trying it :)

Not really in the purview of this thread, but as I was browsing PC Accelerator issues (pardon me while I go bathe in Purell) I came across this chestnut.
Not like I’m a fan of Dr. Laura, but I’m beginning to think that magazine can be directly linked to the birth of GamerGate.
