I love the 5G iPod (so far)

No, that’s not how it works. The dock adapter doesn’t fit into the old 4G dock, it’s only meant to work with the new Universal Dock. Trust me, I’ve tried to fit the adapter into my old dock every which way, and it’s clearly not meant to fit.

Yeah, but how does everyone listen to it? You can only have one set of headphones, and presumably playing the sound through the regular speakers would be a bit obnoxious when travelling on a plane.[/quote]

whoops I e5’d and ran from the thread after posting, heh.

Oh I have a thingie I bought at an airport that allows 3 earphones to be plugged into one device and boosts the volume decently (I had return of the living dead all ready to watch (wifes fav. movie) but the sound was slow, so I bought this dongle thing. I did have a normal splitter before then, it was %4, the dongle was like 15$, but I did need the volume boost for that one instance due to crappy encoding and having no way to fix it on a 30 hour plane trip.

I’m pretty sure that Apple is still calling this iPod “generation 4.”

You are pretty wrong.

You can’t expect Hose to go there, that site has the worst podiums ever.

Podia. Where were you educated, Yale?

Wait … is the 60GB iPod called the 5G? Beacuse that’s confusing the hell out of me.

5G means fifth generation. Includes the Nano and both video iPod’s. Maybe more.

Point taken.

Fifth generation? And here’s what the 1st gen ipod from 1905 looked like…
