I would like to hike Mount Hua someday before I die

Or, perhaps, the day OF my death.

Certainly gives Angel’s Landing a run for its money.

Yeeks. Even just in Yosemite, being near the edge of some of that shit gives me vertigo that makes me feel like gravity is about to go normal to the surface and hurl me out into space. NO THANK YOU SIR. Great pictures, though.

I saw this in a longer series that lead to a tea room or something. Insane.

I believe the Chinese pronounce it “Mount HUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaa…”

Maybe this hiking story, or one like it?

The World’s Most Dangerous Hike

I saw this place on the Discovery channel or Travel channel or something, really a neat place. Like a tea room or a hostel at the end of the trail if I recall correctly.

The best part of that link is the revelation that the rickety board path is not the craziest part of the hike. It is followed by a part where there are no boards–just tiny little footholds carved into the rock.

I want to meet the guy that carved the footholds in the first place.

Looking at those photos, Angel’s Landing is a walk in the park in comparison (Actually, Angel’s Landing is a walk in the park, a very pretty one.)

I dunno, the landscape in the pictures is stunning. I’d be strongly tempted to give it a whirl, but I don’t like the idea of getting round people hiking back if you meet 'em in a narrow place. And from the pictures, it looks really crowded.

Geez, I’m getting vertigo just from looking at the pics :O
