IHOp is now IHOb

Of course with the name change comes the brutal comments and trolling from competitors.

Wendys:

And so Burger King changed its twitter to Pankcake King:

Dennys:

👦: Grandpa, do you remember the Great Burger Wars?
đź‘´: lol no I was chillin drinkin milkshakes and trying to make sense of Westworld

Waffle House:

Even though we serve delicious burgers... we know our roots.

— Waffle House (@WaffleHouse) June 11, 2018

White Castle:

We are excited to announce that we will be switching our name to Pancake Castle.

— White Castle (@WhiteCastle) June 11, 2018

Oh and also Netflix!

brb changing my name to Netflib

— Netflix US (@netflix) June 11, 2018

Are they really changing all their signs to be that?

Netflix should clearly be “Netflic.”

The c stands for “chill.”

This is truly the dumbest timeline.

I’ve had IHOP steak. It’s bad food. This is bad. If I want a burger I’ll just stick with Taco Bell.

I love how savage other brands are being about this. Especially Wendy’s. I’m surprise Arby’s, whose social media is amazing, hasn’t weighed in yet.

This is a good reminder that I already do love IHOP’s food, but I always forget that they exist, since I never pass one on my way to work and back, or my way to the grocery store and back, or on the way to my parent’s house or my brother’s house, etc. Out of sight, out of mind. But last time I was there (2011, I think?) I loved their Eggs Florentine and their crepes. I like my mom’s homemade crepes better, but she hasn’t made those for me since the 1980s.

What’s the deal with this? Are pancakes not popular anymore?

Pretty brilliant marketing move. They got a bunch of other companies to advertise them. Heck, they even got a dedicated qt3 thread.

Pancakes and Burgers are serious business!

Anyway, we all know who makes it in the end.

Yeah, it’s great marketing. Nothing more than that.

I found out where the p’s went.

Melania’s new slogan: “P Pest.”

Sadly, I think what this really means is that we’re picking at the dying carcass of a sitdown diner franchise.

I guess we know now why he put “yawn” in the name.

I kid.

I’d like to see a burger between two pancakes. Or waffles.

Yes. That would be a great way to promote the new name.

At a burger shop I once visited they had a burger between two grilled cheese sandwiches. The name of the burger was the Bad Decision.

My pancrease hurts just looking at that.
