A pox on your house, Dungs-roman.
WTF, why so blatant a copy? Same van and car even?
It’s not a copy, it’s the same footage. Bay reused footage from one of his older films.
and TONS of movies do this, sometimes it’s just harder to spot than this one.
I wouldn’t compare Bay’s copypasta there to the Wilhelm scream, which was more of a stock sound effect / homage thing at different times. Maybe the Bay type thing is done by others but it strikes me as very shoddy, particularly since he seems to even be recycling the CGI of the car demolition, not just, eg, the “background scene.”
It’s called being a hack.

Oops! I was supposed to post a gif there. Wait a sec…

Yeah, not seeing the comparison of filmmakers using stock sound as an homage to that hackery by Bay.
What film is that from Christien? It looks familiar, but I can’t place it.
I’m pretty sure it’s the original Funny Games. Which Dingus shouldn’t be posting gifs from, since he didn’t get it.

Yeah, looks like you’re right. I’ve never seen that though, so must have been thinking of something else.
Oh, ok! Never knew that! Ta.
This movie…christ almighty.

I hate Michael Bay movies, but this actually seems like a brilliant way of economizing, to me. Is it really gonna ruin your enjoyment of the film if a car explosion is the same as some other car explosion?
