I also apologize for making the comment that led to the posting of said .gif.

Epic.

Dog: “woof?”
Cat: “WHACK!”

Jeez, that cat’s a contender.

Dog: .oO(WTF.)

Link is broken for me. Re-do it!

D’oh! Drop Box has given me a 3 day suspension, without any sort of warning either. :-/

I’ll see if I can dig them up again.

[Edit] There, fixed.

Wasn’t the last episode like a month ago? At what point does a spoiler enter “Vader is Luke’s dad” territory?

A month? Really? That’s enough time passed that you can post the final scene, showing what is arguably the greatest reveal in a ten-hour series? And you can do it in a general discussion like this? I mean, yeah, I know I’m more spoiler-averse than the average bear, but you think that’s acceptable after a month?

It’s a subjective thing, so I don’t have an answer to that. But I watched all ten episodes recently and seeing jerri’s gif put me at least eight hours ahead of the show as it was supposed to unfold. And considering how carefully I’d avoided discussions among my friends and here on the forum, that was pretty disappointing.

P.S. Here’s an otter gif:

I don’t know the exact time, but I’m willing to bet that dropping “Luke, I am your father” into a conversation on June 21, 1980 would have been inconsiderate at best. Star Wars is pretty embedded in American culture now; Game of Thrones, not so much.

For example, I have not seen the series because I don’t have HBO. That GIF was a spoiler for me, I just don’t care to complain about it.

Alternately, since the book Game of Thrones is based on is fifteen years old, it could be argued that anyone who really cared that much should have already read it by now.

All the same, I was pretty surprised to see one of the biggest reveals in the series show up in a lighthearted gif thread a month after air. I’m a tremendous “Get over it, you spoilerphobic weirdo” proponent, but I don’t think I would have posted that gif this soon.

Maybe jerri and Tom should delete the gif.

I was unspoiled until y’all lined up to tell me who/what/when it was from, you big jerks. I’ll have forgotten by the time I see it.

I would say the same thing as Alistair, but I imagine that when I get around to watching the show I will recognize the actress. :(

Already fucking done. Good grief. Any chance that will be enough of a gesture to keep this thread from getting derailed into a spoiler debate?
