I wouldn’t mind having a look at the full video… Repeated watching makes it look like the varmint actually accelerates in mid air (lending to the torpedo like appearance). I’m guessing I can’t really see it since it’s a small view, but he must also use the roof of the car for one stride as he homes in.

They don’t seem to have that great a control over the dogs once they send them in - just after that gif the dog then turned on its master… (at 44s)
These are new dogs, this is why you do training ;)
You’ll also notice the ‘bad guy’ thumping the top of the white car to encourage the dog to jump it.
