How would they hold the cards?

He means the dongs Kerzain. How would a dong hold its cards? It’s easy. They make a special little harness so dongs can play cards. They look so cute dressed up for spades!

The whole dongs playing cards picture is so cliche!

The times I was there it seemed pretty much like a free for all, with no particular rules only vague guidelines that you (mostly) shouldn’t hit people, and lots of people playing chicken with their lives.

Pedestrians would happily walk right out in front of moving cars without looking, and cars would just plow resolutely forward through intersections and expect people to disperse. I literally had to yank my wife out from in front of a truck once.

It’s weirder pedestrian vs. pedestrian though, as even sweet little old ladies will happily (and literally!) bowl you over if you’re too polite.

Hah, yeah, my wife recognizes it. It’s near either the Petrogradskaya or Vladimirskaya metro station. The ugly ass pink building is a dead giveaway, really.

Both parties were completely oblivious at first. The driver probably didn’t see the pedestrian until he hit the brakes, and the pedestrian didn’t realize what was going on until he actually heard the breaks. Hearing the breaks and having no clue what was going on (nice hood!), he did the natural thing and ran back out of the street.

Are pedestrians really that reckless and oblivious in St. Petersburg? Absolutely. I’ve seen a bunch of close calls I’d put in the same category (such as my wife!), despite only having spent a relatively short time there. Dramatically different than anywhere I’ve been in the US. That’s actually pretty mild, as both the pedestrian and car traffic is very light.

you’re hilarious, I think it’s quite clear when he turned around that he was trying to ram the car as an ‘f U’

Nah, I think Jasper is right.

It looks more like he WTF’s, turns around and BOINK! Not intentional, just silly.

But then he runs away. I vote intentional.

Definitely intentional. I’m actually impressed he didn’t just kick the mirror off.

That wasn’t intentional. He ran away in fear, most likely, maybe concerned after smacking the vehicle the driver would get out and chase him. Maybe he thought it was going to be a kidnapping. :)

Besides, if it was intentoinal, he’d have kicked it, like everyone else, and not tried to head-butt it.

I think he got scared because the car with the camera had entered the intersection and was getting close to him. He runs toward the nearest curb- the one behind him- and runs into the car that was turning because he has no idea it was there.

I’m pretty sure it is unintentional. He is wearing a hoodie so his field of vision is limited and is likely listening to an ipod. As stated above he probably he heard the screech of the brakes, panicked and instinctively ran to the nearest curb.

Also when he the car slams on the brakes he looks up the street instead of behind him, indicating that he wasn’t sure where the screech came from.

Those men of the cloth get all the girls!

Not a chance. You don’t mess with people in cars in Russia because they’re hard to see, and so you can’t readily be sure they’re not in the mafia. ;-)

I just watched that like 30 times. Good job, cat!

Any have the video of this? Couldn’t find it.
