Yep. Not sure what experience ZekeDMS has with horses, but I’m gonna guess “not much” is the answer.

Horses can not only hurt themselves in the simple act of running, their flight defense instinct causes them to run and potentially hurt themselves more when they injure a leg.

Dance routines are the place to look for for that, because you’ve got little choice when the shit hits the fan. I used to do a spot of ballroom dancing, and it’s hilarious what people won’t notice.

One time in particular we had a stage performance coming up, some dozen couples or so set to Sing Sing Sing, with flips and stuff. So he had a sort of dress rehearsal at a local retirement home, but their floor space was somewhat smaller than we were used to. No problem, we said, we’ll just make things a little tighter!

Which worked right up to the flips when the couple in front of my partner and I got a bit close… Whack, the woman in front of us caught me right in the face!

Luckily it was a glancing blow so I wasn’t just knocked out or anything and managed to keep going, while the couple in front still stuck the landing. The funniest part was that as far as I could tell from asking around afterwards nobody else had noticed aside from the two of us.

Yeah, that’s how I felt too! I was busy watching where I was going as the choreography was a bit tight at that point, and so didn’t find out about it until afterwards from one of the other couples.

Apparently I was the only one not to see her flash, as we were maybe 10 feet from the audience at that point – I’d noticed she flushed a bit red afterwards, but had just figured it was due to the tempo of the music.

I think the more well endowed girls started going with double sided tape after that. :-)
