Lion vs. Child. Spoiler: no one devoured.

D’awwwww kitty! You get him!
That is painfully cute.

It’s cute in the sense that that lion would totally have bitten that kid to death and eaten him/her but for a pane of glass.
You mean something cute could become horrific, if the situation were totally changed? Why yes, yes it could. Well spotted.
“You know, that laughing baby is really cute, but if it was dying of leukemia every giggle would be heart wrenching, rather than heart warming.”
Nah, a lion that young, especially one in captivity, doesn’t know how to kill effectively. The kid would have been mauled and possibly scarred for life, but he probably wouldn’t have died.
Anyway, it’s almost Easter!

What remarkable and cutting insight! Yes, the suffering of children is rather hilarious to me, and this particular animated gif is exactly what I needed to get through another thankless and horrible day full of children prospering and succeeding. Oh, to be born in Johnathan Swift’s time…
These are the times that try a father’s soul. You really want to laugh–it’s totally funny–but if you do, you know you’re going to regret it.
What’s not clear from the gif is that the child is actually British while the camera man is none other than George Washington.
What nationality is the lion cub?
He’ll save children, but not the British children.
It’s quite clearly a matter of survival of the fittest. If that glass was too weak to hold back the lion, that glass clearly didn’t deserve to live. Circle of life, bitches.
