If it at all is in the general direction that old white men who run everything are so fragile that any threat to their cultural hegemony causes them to retreat into febrile racist attacks and political suppression. So as a class old white men are everything wrong with America?

I certainly don’t think you can hold all old white men up as racist motherfuckers as @None points out, but that makes the few among them that are in politics that much more valuable because they trick the other white people into voting for them while at the same time they are able to actually implement social and economic change that matters, even if it happens more slowly than we’d like.
When white people don’t run the country anymore, then we can marginalize all of them, including myself because I will be old. I’m totally fine with that. We need the likes of a Biden right now to remove the other busted people that are currently in charge because he’s basically a bait and switch candidate for the left.
Realistically, his popularity as a candidate has a lot to do with his old whiteness IMO.

It looks like the day after they held a press conference (yesterday) to announce it, ICE has backed off. But they said they wouldn’t do it “at this time”… Which is super weaselly. Especially since it wasn’t supposed to start for a few weeks so I wouldn’t bet on it not happening anyways then.

Bumping so we don’t forget the child concentration camps the administration runs, and the thousands of Good Americans gleefully manning the guard towers.
