My guess is that Trump’s new plan is to “accidentally” release the Census with the Citizenship question, and then Pardon anyone who gets in legal trouble.

It strikes me as a very Trumpian thing to do.

DEEP STATE CONFIRMED

I love this line from the judge.

“I assume, although maybe I’m wrong about this, that parties aren’t suggesting I can enjoin the President of the United States from tweeting thing.”

Please judge do this, it would be like the best birthday present the US could get this year.

I feel bad for these lawyers. They are career dudes. They didn’t sign up for this crap.

(They don’t have to do it.)

I would bet US dollars that some resumes are flying around right now on behalf of some of those folks. Their department let them hang out to dry in open court on a matter of national import. I suspect we will see at least some of the DOJ attorneys leaving for “better opportunities” soon.

Who could blame them.I’m sure most can make a lot more money in the private sector, or if they love public sector work, Get a job working for the state of VA or MD.

Maybe they should shut the whole thing down “UNTIL OUR COUNTRY’S REPRESENTATIVES CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!”

I’m going to send this to my family. They used to, or still do get the Focus on the Family magazine.

ISTM that if you suddenly decide to detain a whole bunch of people who were not being detained before, for no clearly good reason, you can’t really fall back on the lack of adequate facilities and resources problem. Because you created the problem. And the solution seems, well, obvious.

I would pay for a The Division 2 DLC where the new class specialization is BORDER PATROL and I get to beat down the Coloureds and shoot migrant children.

Well duh, Border Patrol leadership is almost certainly IN the group. Of course they knew about it.

And now the cover-up (but too late…):

Replace robots with immigrants, and this is basically the primetime fox news lineup.

It seems I was not the only one who suspected the career civil service attorneys for the DOJ on the census case would feel ill-served by Trump’s erratic BS. Per Rick Hasen: " DOJ Lawyers Who Had Represented Government in Census Case are Being Replaced: An Ominous Development".
