Well, now over a thousand more of them lack families and are vulnerable.
Maybe instead of a wall we can put up warning signs about child misplacement, that’ll turn the families around.
I saw this related bit. Not only do they lose them, they have released some to human traffickers. I can’t believe this didn’t make bigger news.

Seriously though, how can HHS be expected to know whom these little brown kids belong to? They’re so indistinguishable and are probably all jabbering about in their Not English tongue. They’re not innocent! They look innocent but they’re not - these are hardened toddlers.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents allegedly used stun guns on the minors for amusement or punishment, kicked them and threatened to either rape or kill them.
People who do this to children should not be loose and in public. They’re monsters.
I have an epiphany. I finally understand why in US popular discourse children are held in a somewhat holy-status. It’s because for adults we use excuses like “they are lazy” “they are criminals” “they should have gone to school.” For children they can’t use these excuses. So we can make our own judgements on how cruel an action is.
Considering all the reforms the Catholic church has undergone, there really isn’t even anything to “Protest” against any more.
They could have used the tree potentially as a weapon. I mean, it was just standing there waiting to be used.
They are lazy. Take babies, for instance. How much work do they actually do? They just kind of lay there and whine.
My wife gets mad when I make fun of our three-week-old daughter for not being able to feed herself, do her own taxes, or drive herself around.
