Immortals Fenyx Rising is what happens when everything comes together perfectly

I mean to go back to this generally, but some of those vaults are pretty nuts to try to navigate. I remember one with simultaneous lasers and falling boulders that you were somehow supposed to fly through.

That was a serious F-up by the devs. On the starting island you get access to Hermes’s challenge, which is undoable without having everything kitted out. It’s insane that they let that be accessible ten minutes into the game. Literally everything else in the game makes perfect sense, just don’t do that Challenge.

I can’t tell if your reply was to me (due to Discourse’s strange behavior of not marking replies to particular posts as such when they follow the post in question), but if it was, are you saying that particular vault was special somehow and meant only for people almost done with the game? I mean, I could see from the get-go that it had a high difficulty rating but I tried it anyway. I knew I didn’t have to do it to continue playing or anything.

BTW, taming a horse in this game is an awesome way of covering ground without wasting a lot of stamina. That stamina drain when climbing and flying would get on my nerves sometimes.

Pretty much yeah. The Hermes challenge at the end of the pillared thing on the first island. I finished it this time, but only after having almost all the power upgrades and 2/3 of the max stamina, and that was a 6 minute finish, double what it would take to actually matter.
