Beats me. I’m almost as confused as Armando.
I heard it much more as a kid (my third grade teacher said it not regularly but not rarely) and don’t recall it much after having gone off to college. This is doubtless filtered by my own experiences of being born in a small southern town in Virginia, moving to a mid-sized southern town in Georgia, doing some colleging in both states, and then living for over 10 years in Atlanta. Funny how that stuff works.
