Me too. Losing 10 years of equity in your house and half your 401k to a divorce will do that.

I’m going to have to work until I die.

I was in a similar situation. I’m in a better spot now, but playing a tough game of catch-up on the retirement side.

Also, that. Not quite as much equity for me to lose, but still lost half of it.

I guess it doesn’t really matter anyway, we’re all just a medical issue away from bankruptcy in the good ol’ US of A. ;)

I was just thinking this morning that having front row seats to my parents’ scorched earth divorce proceedings is probably the chief reason I’ve avoided romantic relationships. No way in hell I want to go through that myself.

For me it was 10 years, I caught up, but well, I put off being myself in the process, and that’s eating into things now. My worry is on the back end, eventually they’ll render myself obsolete and then I’ll be unable to get a job outside of retail, if that.

It seems Kellogg has no fear of a “worker shortage” in their business. 1500 folks being told to take a hike.

I fully expect quotes from Kellogg executives crying about labor shortages in the coming weeks and months.

Imagine the tragedy that would befall the nation if heavily processed simple carbs were slightly more expensive.

Sure, you think a small price increase is nothing to be concerned about, but multiply that by the number of boxes the average american family of eleven goes through in a week and were talking some serious economic anxiety.

I’ll give you my high fructose corn syrup when you pry it from my chubby, sticky hands.

Eeeeew.

“Come work for Kellogg’s and work 16 hour days for 7 days a week for 4 months straight and then we’ll can you if you complain.”

I’m sure people will be lining up to work there.

I’ve been promised they’ll have a robotic barista drawing QR codes in less than a month.

Need MOAR guillotines.

Yeah, but, more guillotines, even.

Some possibility of consequences, though.

Lol that didn’t take long!

“It never occurred to us that making teachers fight to the death over a few dollar bills might be seen by some as exploiting their poor pay and economic plight,” said weaselly spokesman.

I found this video interesting as it describes, pretty well I feel, the current issue with billionaire’s row in NYC and the current problem with the NY 421a tax break

Skyscrappers are an affront to God, who, unfortunately, stopped caring after Babylon.

Interesting video. I wish they had provide some graphics on the 421A tax break, how much money was spent on projects vs how many $ of tax breaks.

Not that it matters, almost no one in Congress wants to give up their insider trading side benefit.
