The reasoning is really weird too, since it was rejected for requiring an email address for their online accounts. You know, like SolForge or any Playdek game. Or even something completely different like Overcast which doesn’t work at all unless you sign up for an account (with your email address).

I also can’t understand that reason for denying it again. Methinks there’s more to the story than they’re telling us.
Sounds like the reasoning is fallacious or inconsistent.
We can mollify our sorrows by learning Nightfall, the best asynch game there is. Almost every game is tight and exciting. Luck doesn’t play as large a factor, in my opinion, as it does in Ascension. Games can be just four or five rounds long yet routinely packed with way more drama than a typical Ascension game. We tell war stories after matches.
We have a leaguelet for it in the leaguelet thread!

Nightfall is worth the small amount of effort it takes to learn. My only gripe is that it never really took off and so it won’t see anymore expansions added. Shame, really.
I see a flaw in this assertion. I didn’t care for the game. QED.
Your logic seems airtight but there must be a fallacy.

I bought it last night and ran through the game once immediately. I took a northernly route through Eurasia, and then around through Panama to get back to London in 72 days! I’m now part way through my second playthrough trying to take a more southern route through Asia. I didn’t think it would have staying power past the first playthrough, but going through new cities definitely keeps the game fresh. The action is almost entirely text based, but the discovery of the different cities and their steampunky inventions are enough to keep me entertained so far. I recommend this game as well, but I do recognize that some people might only playthrough once.
Update: tecwrtr has free Nightfall for iOS codes! Just send her a PM if you’d like one.
Just got Terraria on ios. Late to the party I know but I’m pretty impressed.
Been playing multiplayer and it works really well.

Manhattan Project released on iOS!
$6.99
I could not get it to appear searching manhattan but does appear searching for Domowicz. :)
I’m not sure how long I’ll be hooked, but I’ve definitely gotten at least $1.99 of fun out of Rules! so far. It’s an clever mix of a simple concept with quickly escalating difficulty, it’s well made, and as far as I know it’s unique. If it’s a clone of some other game style, I’ve never heard of it.
With a grid of 16 squares of numbered items, you start with rule 1, and tap them all in the order the rule dictates. Then you start over on a new grid with rule 2. Follow rule 2 until you can’t any more, then follow rule 1. Then you have a new grid and a rule 3. Follow rule 3 until you can’t any more, etc. It’s all a race against the clock, with bonuses for accuracy and speed as your remaining time carries from one round to the next.
It gets difficult in a hurry, but I haven’t quite hit a wall yet. The rules are the same every time, which sounds like it would be easy, but it’s not. It’s just enough stability to make me know that I could do better with practice, so I keep playing. Recommended.
News from Gamescom is that Valiant Hearts (WWI adventure game) is coming to iOS on Sept. 4.
I may be picking up a newer iPad before an upcoming trip, which puts me well outside my normal iOS gaming habits. Anything good for offline, longer-session games that’s available on an iPad but not iPhone? Local pass-and-play multiplayer could be a plus but is not necessary. Not requiring sound is a plus.

Off the top of my head:
[ol]
[li]XCOM (if you have not played it yet)[/li][li]Battle Academy[/li][li]Summoner Wars (pass and play)[/li][li]Ticket to Ride (pass & play)[/li][li]Small World (pass & play)[/li][/ol]
Though XCOM & BA are a bit more pricey

How can I tell which decks I own in Summoner Wars - I forget. It seems like when I go to the deckbuilder all of them have a buy option and I know I bought it when it first came out with all the decks at that time.
If you go to the In-App store it should indicate which decks are purchased/owned and it will grey out the purchase button. If they are not showing properly try the restore purchases button.
