Anyone tried Radiation Island? Is that cool?

I also got that last night! And fell asleep with iPad in hand. Sorry, I didn’t sleep at all wed night and crashed yesterday. It’s only 3 bucks though.

I have it just not had a chance to play it yet, tonight hopefully.

Anyone with a passing interest in physics puzzlers should take a look at Odd Bot Out (iOS and android). This game has a system of machine components that brings Little Big Planet to mind and also does an amazing job of slowly teaching you how the game works without a word of text. The graphics are minimalist and clean, but still manage to be charming. I am through about a quarter of the levels and can see the difficulty is starting to ramp up as the various ways of interacting with objects gradually increases. Really impressed with this one so far.

$1.99!!! Highway Robbery!

Good lord is that cute.

Not a game but a learning toy. My friend Chaim’s (who worked on Spore) interactive earth app is out.

It is really good!

Just want to say that trouble with robots is good fun, one of the very few games I’ve really finished, and gotten out of my way for achievements, hoping he will add more to it now.

I just got a notification that Odd Bot Out has gone on sale for the low low price of 99 cents. So for people (like me??) who thought 1.99 was too much, it’s half off!

I saw a writeup of this on toucharcade or pocket tactics or maybe even flipbook. At any rate, I agree, it looked awesome.

Odd Bot Out has 100 levels and the first 40 levels have not gotten me out of what I’d consider to be a tutorial. I’d love this if I were 10 years old.

I’m up to 85, and some of the levels still feel like tutorial levels, because they keep adding new things. There are some nifty little gems here and there. So far though, they are all bite-sized, none that pull it all together. Love this, though.

For those that are looking for a good golf game, Pro Feel Golf (so far) has been pretty good. It is indeed f2p and I am not far enough along to know how they have the system set up too well but it has been entertaining so far. Worth the download at least!

just picked up odd bot out for the kids… very cute.

It’s like playing through test levels for the concept of a game.

Wicked cute though. PONY!

I also love the eyeless workers. I feel so bad for them. :(

Pocket Tactics did an interview with Adam Saltzman (of Canabalt fame) about his upcoming XCOM-for-the-masses game called Overland. Sounds very intriguing.

Alto’s Adventure is out now, and it’s beautiful: http://altosadventure.com/

It’s yet another endless runner, but it’s too pretty to ignore, and so far I find it a lot more relaxing to play than most. That might change if I’m eventually trying to knock out all the challenges, but for now, it’s just fun to go downhill.

I swore I’d never love another endless runner again, but this one is quite good. Very satisfying when you get a good run in, and at the same time quite relaxing (and sometimes infuriating).

If anyone is a Kieffer Brothers fan, Blockwick 2 is coming out on March 5. The first one was the best block-sliding puzzle I’ve ever seen.

Deeply Absurd Chain is a pretty addictive little match-3 game for iOS and Android.

It’s a combination of the sliding mechanism found in Dungeon Raid with the evolutionary mechanism found in Triple Town. No RPG or simcity metagame, just try to get as far up the evolutionary chain as you can.

I’m sort of surprised that I’ve never seen something like this before, since the game comes together so naturally. There are a few cheats you can buy with in-game currency, but no IAP. And it’s free, apparently supported only by an ad shown after you lose. Thumbs up!

I thought Deeply Absurd Chain was fun but deleted it after probably the 10th viewing of the Game of War - Fire Age Ad
