Is it online only? It sounds like they’ve adopted a lot of the trappings of Clash of Clans etc, and almost all of those require a network connection. If so, I’ll give it a miss until the actual sequel comes out. Space Miners was great.

Anybody playing Chillingo’s Battle Decks? EA’s attempt at Hearthstone in a modern warfare dressing and a few original mechanics. While I know it’s from the Evil Empire, it looks slick and not completely scammy in doling out its booster packs.

Eh. I loved Space Miner. This is Space Miner with F2P grind. I haven’t hit a point where I need money to advance; I don’t think it’s obnoxious as F2P games go, but I also don’t know if it will really appeal to anyone not nostalgic for Space Miner.

Thanks guys. I loved Space Miner and still have it installed on my phone to mess around with now and then. Maybe I’ll pop the new one onto my iPad and give it a spin later. I’ve been trying out various FTP games lately (I play them until I lose interest or hit the paywall) so no reason not to give this one a go too.

Yep, it doesn’t work as a single player theme at all. Very much a week long diplomacy style game.

Thanks for posting. Was a huge fan in the day, but I can’t imagine this will hold up well. Still, can’t argue with free.
