Yes. You need to sign in with a username, and then you can create a new game with a slot “reserved” for a particular player.

From BGG page:

So, yes! EDIT: Beaten to the punch by @magnet

There is also a ton of async options:

3 hours/turn, 12 hours/turn, 24 hours/turn, 3 days/turn, and “endless” time per turn.

Finally, there are several “blitz” options:

90-180 sec/turn, 4-6 min/turn, and 20 minutes/turn

I believe the timers are not hard, because all of those modes include a fixed amount of “reserve” time that I think you can draw from throughout the game. For example, the 20 minutes/turn blitz mode has 16 hours of reserve, which you can use to stop the game at night and resume the next day.

This implementation is super. I am spacerumsfeld in the world of Through the Ages.

Thanks! You can create a game with 3 or 4 players too, I assume?

Brooski, I sent you a friend request (from AnanabTilps).

Who wants to join us for a 3p game?

Me? Wait, no, not yet, I don’t know what I’m doing!

-Tom

I’ll join!

Got it!

OMG OMG Tactical Space Command has been updated to 64 bit!

This is one of the games I most feared losing with iOS11. If anyone hasn’t tried it yet, it’s definitely worth a look. It’s basically the love child of Harpoon and MOO2. Conquer planets, conduct research, manage fleets, assign and promote officers (!) all in pausable real time while staring at a screen that looks like it belongs on a console of Battlestar Galactica.

And one of a dying breed of fully premium games with a free demo.

I picked up Through the Ages and need to go through the tutorial tonight. I’m clayheaton on there if anybody wants to add me to their friend list.

I am having fun with Iron Marines. It’s from the guys who do the Kingdom Rush tower defense games. It isn’t a TD though, but a RTS that feels a bit like Infested Planet. You seem to never to control more than 3-5 units as you try to take alien based and hold them while still advancing. There is a tech tree and hero powers to help out. Controls are simple but it can get confusing trying to select units during a battle. Fun though, worth a look for $5.

I have only played on iPad, seems like it would be much too difficult selecting units and seeing the map on a phone.

My time availability is crazy erratic, but the Through the Ages port has to be one of the nest boardgame adaptations I have3 ever played. If you had never played, like me, no fear. The tutorial does a superb job of walking you through gameplay as well as various decisions you will face and shows results of each. This is all thanks to an ESSENTIAL “undo” button.

I probably played a dozen games over the weekend. Have yet to play any online. I’d like to play some of you guys eventually. :)

I’m happy to play TTA as well, username is Thraeg.

@Brooski and I are waiting for a game, @Tyjenks and @thraeg. Are you guys IN?

In! No, wait, I’m still too scared. Are you supposed to stall your economy in this game? If so, I’m really good at it.

-Tom

Haha… if you figure the economy out before you play ten games, you’re a smarter man than me.

What do you mean, “figure out the economy?” You mean, get it so that all the faces are unhappy all time and there is no food? Pffft, I can do that.
