Is that best “she doesn’t like Lords of Waterdeep” or best “she plays boardgames?”

I misread and assumed it meant she liked Lords of Waterdeep. But based on the fact she like boardgames, I’ll say awesome mother-in-law. I really hope shes an elegant old lady, but when she plays boardgames she turns into a back stabbing machiavellian ice queen. Don’t tell me if I’m wrong, I’m just pleased with the mental image :)
Sadly, she doesn’t like conflict much. So we play Euros that don’t involve directly attacking other players. We played Olympus this weekend, and I was the only one who called for a plague.
EDIT: I just remembered my wife declared a war on me a couple of times. So at least there’s that.

Scurvy Scallawags is the perfect game to stumble upon while home sick. Light, casual, fun, but some skill involved. Is this the first match 3 where you are on the actual board? I haven’t played many of these. Love the pirate theme / stage play story. Great plot device.
It’s the first one ive found where you’re on the board, but that’s just personal experience.

I remember reading a review saying it wasn’t the first time it was done, but probably the first time it was done well.

Can anyone remember the RPG wizardry game that Tom used to love on the Iphone when he got one? Legend something? I always wanted to try that, and have the option now, but can’t find it anywhere.

Battle Academy down to $9.99 from $19.99. Do I want to add this to my already backlogged list of iPad games?
I tried the PC demo and thought it was too much game for how I like to play games on the iPad. So many units, so much clicking. But it should be fine if you don’t mind playing sturdy PC games on the iPad.
This is from Broken Forum member Baker:
Get it. It’s a full PC game on the iPad with great touch controls, and it’s a good game to boot. I’ve described it before as a tactical version of Panzer General, and I still haven’t come up with a better description. It’s puzzle-like, but in the same good way PG was.
Plus, Pocket Tactics gave it 5/5.
Oh, jeez, what was that called? I don’t think it’s Legend Somrthing, but it had some ridiculously earnest fantasy name. I can’t find it in my purchase history. Let me dig a bit more.

I am guessing you are talking about The Quest. It is more Ultima Underworld and less Wizardary, but I think I remember Tom being enamored with it (I quite liked it, but it was a bit obtuse in some of the quest designs)
Oh yeah, that’s is it! I thought it had some dopey word like Grimrock in the title, but it’s the exact opposite. However, there are a bunch of downloadable adventures for The Quest with goofy fantasyland names like The Temple of Rakalava or The Forgotten Ruins of Burpitybip and whatnot.

Is there a way to track iOS games and be notified when they go on sale?
AppShopper is what I use, but I think they had to change it to comply with some sort of iTunes store rule. Their website (which is… www.appshopper.com … appears to let you do the same thing on a website, though).
Yes, use an app tracker such as AppZapp. I’ve used a couple of them and that one is my favourite.
What are the best 5 Zen Pinball Tables to purchase?
Five that are played with a controller of some sort instead of a touchscreen. :)
