Now, I might be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that, on the democratic side, it will come down to…
And, mmmm… I bet Huckabee’s going to do real well in Iowa, too.
Of course, these are just my guesses, I could be wrong!

Huckabee
McCain (actually I’d be tickled to death if Ron Paul managed to bump him out of third, but that’s less because I like Ron Paul and more that I wouldn’t mind McCain getting knocked out)

But I would not be surprised if 1 and 2 were reversed.

Rudy’s been doing that badly in Iowa? Shows how much attention I’ve been paying.

He is a complete non-factor in Iowa and always has been. Never bothered to campaign, ever.
Has recently pulled out of New Hampshire as well to concentrate on the next tier of primaries. It’s a risky strategy because if someone wins both Iowa and NH they have huge momentum.

… but all three very close, so that no one comes out with clear momentum.

Coming in third might crush Edwards, he has lived in Iowa for the last four years. I doubt he’ll withdraw (unless the nascent scandal smoke swirlin’ about is proved to contain flame), after all, he was able to live off the land and shoehorn himself onto the Kerry ticket last cycle. He might be looking to do the same this time around. He’s also Hillary’s best chance to split the anti-Hillary vote so she might offer some back-room incentive for him to stay in.
Clinton’s “inevitability” campaign takes a pretty major hit as well. Obama winning gives the idea that he can energize and motivate new voters a lot of credence.
Hillary gains most if Obama comes in third. It would make him and his supporters look weak and naive.
Also agree, though Huckabee/Romney could go either way.
I just wish the Daily Show was covering it. :(
