So invites aren’t asynchronous? I left the game to send a PM to Dave, and when I came back the game was gone. The link doesn’t work either. If I have to sit and wait for someone to accept in real time, I’m going to stick with Ascension.

The async multiplayer feature had three exclamation points before and after it in the update summary. They clearly should have let this one cook a little bit longer as that is just terrible.

So…they gave us asynchronous mp…but they dropped the ball pretty hard from how it sounds. Why…why do something different when so many games have proven game center is a useful tool for mp? I was looking forward to this. Now not so much. Blehk.

Ok, so invites work. You have to hit “ready” to get it to take, then “start” to play once the other player has joined. I thought “ready” served the function of “start,” so I didn’t press it.

I’ll bet the PM system would work for links now. Or maybe a challenge thread. But knowing everyone’s email? I have a hard enough time keeping track of GC handles.

I have Neuroshima Hex, but I’ve only played it against the AI. I tried to play last night but with the update it won’t start an AI game without me entering my email and stuff? Why should I have to do that just to play locally? Weird.
