Hopefully. I’d pay a few more bucks for them, especially the pot breaking game.

Just did. Thanks for the recommendation. It’s a great game and the kids will love it as they were playing a Flash variant of the same idea (or the original flash game, who knows) a couple of weeks ago.

Ah, it’s great to be playing PvZ again. And for only $2.99?!?! Even better!

Fun little Easter egg: keep scrolling down on the achivements page. You’ll recognize a few things on your way down.

I was just thinking the other day that PvZ would make an awesome iPhone/iTouch game. And now it is here.

Yes, I just spent the $2.99. It is all I can do NOT to turn it on at work.

So apparently the iPhone is getting a Street Fighter 4 port. I can’t even imagine how tough this is gonna be to control.

Just to echo some of the other comments. PvZ is an excellent port. A day one buy for me

I have now played more PvZ on the iphone in one night than I have on steam, and I preordered pvz on steam.

I’m on level 1-8 of PvZ and I’m having massive frame rate issues on my iphone 3g. It doesn’t seem to be effecting my ability to play the game. At least not yet.

it loads slow as hell for me but i haven’t noticed any framerate issues on my 3gs

This one took me longer on the iphone than the DS for sure. I do think the hacking games are included in your overall time. My strategy was to start with the car that was the farthest away, and work my way back. I got it after a few tries, but I find I am all over the road with my cars, where on the DS, I was a little better.

Has anyone tried out Noby Noby Boy yet?

Yeah. It’s pretty awesome! It practically replaces the entire iPhone OS, except for making calls. I don’t think you can go wrong if you’re down with the concept of the PS3 game (i.e. not having one).

Crashes at launch every time for me. BOY is sad. Let me know if anyone hears of a solution.

Anytime this happens with an iPhone app, it means you’re out of memory. Restart your phone (hold power button, slide to power off, wait, hit power again).

That was the first thing I tried. Also tried deleting and redownloading, twice. No luck.

That Space Miner: Space Ore Bust game is on sale for $1.99.

Sweet. I was waiting for this moment! Off to the App Store.*

  • The pricing on the App Store has to be hell on developers. I’m now conditioned to think a good game should be 99 cents, a great game $2.99, and maybe something like Civ Rev justifies $4.99. The only reason I think this is because of how the other apps are priced, but that does set an expectation. I’d probably have been just as pleased with a $2.99 to $9.99 scale had the pricing landscape been different, but no going back now.

Dammit! bought it last week at full price. Oh well, it is a pretty sweet little game.

Wasn’t Star Control 2 supposed to be out by now?

What?

Lots of updates at CCI until late November, and then nothing. My guess is the iPhone port of Star Control 2 will never see the light of day.
