Got home, deleted NOBY NOBY BOY everywhere, downloaded it to iTunes, synced to my PC, and now it works. Mysterious!

This is not the kind of news I come here to read.

Tried it again today, back to non-functional. Oh well, GIRL will just have to wait till they get this patched.

Man, PvZ brings my 3G to its knees, but I sure do love that game.

I played this over the weekend virtually non-stop. I’m working on my third go, and it’s exceedingly rare for me to play through anything more than once.

I like this game a lot. I wish there were more casual PC games like this. also… this thing absolutely kills my battery life on my iPhone.

Really? What kind of iphone model? I was amazed that it didn’t half drain my battery after 30 minutes like most intensive games (and once you get getting into the nebulas there is a ton of stuff going on at once). Fantastic game though, my favorite of this year so far.

What do you guys think of ngMoco turning into a freemium monster and devouring Freeverse (who was my 2nd favorite iphone publisher) and basically saying after Freeverse finishes their space strategy title both companies will be freemium games only? I can understand why (piracy) but it still stings considering how many games by both companies I’ve purchased.

At this point, they don’t really have a choice if they want to try and stay in business.

The massive profits those facebook game-alikes make probably helps too.

Patch is submitted. Apparently it crashes on iPhones with a lot of music.

I’m really, really digging Space Miner, and I wasn’t particularly expecting to. I’ve already logged more playtime with it than almost anything else in recent times.

BTW, has anyone else noticed this bug in Chinatown Wars? Namely, after you’re done and you’re listening to music or whatever, you can’t adjust the volume with the on-screen slider (or at least the graphical representation of the slider always pops back to the same setting one found it at). The volume buttons still work, but the only way to get the graphical slider to work again is to power off the iPod Touch and turn it on again.

Battle for Wesnoth is on sale for 99 cents, down from $4.99.

What are the south guard and heir to the throne?

Did it ever get majorly patched up? wasn’t that the game which Tom tried a couple of months ago which epically failed?

After buying it, looks like the UI elements are still nigh impossible to tap with the finger.

This game is incredibly good-

Devil Invasion:

I was just browsing through the new releases on the app store, and happened to find it. Awesomely bad translation too (MY PLEASURE!), although the instructions are understandable.

It’s Puzzle Quest meets castle defense with some Defender Chronicles mixed in. I can’t stop playing it…

Only 99 cents too.

There have been patches for performance and bug fixing. I believe the next patch he plans on updating the UI. Here’s hoping.

Devil Invasion seems quite good indeed, like Puzzle Quest on speed… The controls can get a little bit troublesome with such an emphasis on speed, and I need to see how the skills expand to pass a definitive judgement, but heck, for 79 eurocents, you can’t really go wrong.

Unlike Puzzle Quest, a bad character build definitely hurts you almost immediately. You have to craft a character that is good at one thing, otherwise you won’t be going anywhere fast.

It’s actually quite interesting, because you’re basically creating a unique class for the whole game. Definite replay value in this one for sure.

My current build is a fire field “EAT HOT TASTE!” and two griffins that convert yellow and blue to green and red.

This game is really tough but man is it fun.

Another interesting aspect that is really hard to wrap your head around if you’ve played match-3’s on hexes before is you can drag things off the grid on all the edges to make matches. Really bizarre, but once you start to understand that it gets quite a bit easier to get that combo meter chuggin
