Found a cool new puzzle game today: Colorbind

You have to overlap paper strips to connect dots. Much harder than it looks, and very fun. There’s a lite version, and the pay one is $1.99.

No, I’m gonna wait until the price comes down a bit. The reviews look good though.

Yeah that is the problem I’m having right now is the price. I already have FF 1 and 2 on the GBA so these would just be something I can fiddle with.

I wouldn’t hold my breath, Square is running a sale now that’s only knocking a few dollars off some of their games and its basically the first sale they’ve ever had.

I’m waiting for FF3 or whatever number it is. The one on the SNES.

That would be 4, 5 or 6. 4 was originally released in North America as 2 and 6 was originally released in North America as 3.

Hearty endorsement of Devil Invasion. It’s a very good game, but the Engrish makes it AWESOME. Major props to flyinj for spotting it.

FF6 then

I grabbed the first one. Digging it for the old school feel. Visuals are nice, control isn’t bad, and it seems they cut down the random encounters - ie not every THREE STEPS. But it’s early, so maybe that changes later.

Magical Drop is on the iPhone as well. The title is in Japanese kana so search for “G-Mode” - the icon is of the jester holding the marble/ball/whatever. $2.99.

I just passed the main path on Devil Invasion. Getting the every 10 second stone generating expert item definitely helps… wish I had gotten it earlier.

Now I’m working on the bonus tombs. My god are they hard.

I’m saving for that 10 second stone generating expert, but I’m at a point where it’s really difficult and I might have to buy other skills to move forward. When you lose, you get no gold.

Just grind previous levels. You pretty much have to if you want to proceed.

Also, there are those “ribbon” rewards. I think you need two of them in addition to the 500 gold to get an expert power. Not really sure how the game doles them out though. I seem to get them when I do extremely well on a level. So, you may want to grind a really easy level a few times to see if you can get a ribbon for it.

I have the 2 ribbons. How do you go back levels?

I’m not sure why I have this one flagged on AppShopper, but The Quest is currently on sale for $2.99 (50% off) for their 1-year anniversary.

This also applies to the Quest Gold, which is now $6 vs. $10. It includes three or four expansion packs. I’ll be purchasing as soon as I get home

Did you jump because there was a fish flopping around, or the first time the ladybug flew? Because I’ve opened the box more than 200 times, and those are they only things I can imagine making you jump.

I was pretty disappointed. From your impressions, I thought there would be a few more tricks, or at least an expectation defied every now and then. Instead it really is just three things every time you open a box. There are a few different versions of some items as they decay or die or bloom over time, or whatever, but really, it’s just three different things in a box. I liked The Path, but not enough to pretend Vanitas is entertaining.

Just tap a level you already cleared. You’re going to find your life much easier now hah.

I finally got a chance to sit down with Sword and Poker. I’m really impressed. What a perfect game for the platform.
