I still think the the iPhone version has a better design, but I agree that it is fairly light in features. In particular, I was hoping to see a mini expansion or two and (as Lorini mentioned) some rule options. I know they’re working on an iPad port but hopefully they’ll roll out new features as well. FWIW if their Twitter page is any indicator, they do seem to be receptive to feature requests.
Do they offer the alternative scoring sheet? I vastly prefer playing with it compared to the standard sheet.

Yes, they do. And yes, I prefer it also.
Sweet. Purchased. The interface is a bit convoluted, but it’s nice to see more board games making their way to this platform.

Now it’s 148 ratings, 147 are 5 stars and 1 is 4 stars. I’ve never seen a higher rating for any product ever.
Tom, I will never, ever use Facebook to play a multiplayer game. I’m astounded that you’d think I’d fall for that.
It’s your move, by the way.
The carcassonne app looks pretty good pixel doubled on the iPad. It looks like they use a higher res version of the tiles too.
I just started a separate Carcassonne thread here.
C’mon, fuzzyslug – and everyone else – get your Facebook connection in gear. Me and krayzkrok need more Highborn games!

Ok, let’s hypothetically say I purchased Highborn and I have a Facebook account. How do I get in on the challenge thing?

Good question. I have HighBorn and just created a Facebook account. I don’t have a user name yet because I did not link my mobile phone.
I’m not even done with the second mission, so I probably won’t be much competition, but I’m game.
Highborn lacks in game smack talk chat, which is a pity. But you simply log into your Facebook account from within Highborn and it’ll sign you in automatically each time. Make sure you turn ALL the notifications off in the options menu of the game, or you’ll be spamming your wall every time you do anything.
If you want to challenge someone (or receive challenges) you have to be friends with them.

Thanks. Kind of what I figured, but do I need to give out my name or user name? Sorry, this is my first time using Facebook.
This is where the Facebook only system is a pain in the ass. What you have to do, T77, is create a Facebook page first - you generally have to use your real name, but I suppose you could create one using an alias instead. Once your page is up and running, you have to become friends with the person you want to play the game with. So, if you want to play with me you’d have to find my page (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=776689523) and then send me a friend request. Then, assuming I realise it’s from you (put “QT3” in the comment text) I’ll accept your invitation. THEN, you can link your Facebook page to your Highborn game, and set up a game with me. Phew. If you search for TomChick you can send him a friend invite and he’ll cast that horrible Chill Out spell on you that reduces your turn by one move per unit, the scoundrel).

Thank you very much for explaining this, as you can probably tell, I’ve never used Facebook. If you’d be interested in a game I’ll add you. I agree, this requires burning too many calories to get opponents. Maybe I’ll create a HighBorm thread later to make it easier for us to hook up.

Just grabbed Highborn and sent out some Facebook friend invites, but I don’t know how to find Fuzzy or T77 without their names.
My Facebook profile is http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000989192160 - send a friend request & mention Qt3 if you want to try some Highborn.
