I was really enjoying Wolfenstein RPG, and then they had to go and have a terrible rail shooter level that kills me every time.

Pinball Dreams is free today.

You lie!

Oh crap, that was YESTERDAY. Puzzle Quest Ch1+2 is today.

Sorry I missed yesterday but, awesome. Thanks for the PQ tip.

Good news: Super Quickhook approved, going on sale this Thursday.

Geometry Wars Touch just got updated with universal support for iPhones, and dropped in price to $4.99. That’s a pretty easy sale right there.

Out a little early; I just bought it.

Coming this fall for the iPhone: Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions.

I’m completely obsessed with Pathpix. There’s a free version to get you hooked initially. Its sort of a logic puzzle meets join-the-dots.

I finished every single puzzle in PathPix. It’s a great game for folks that like logic puzzles. It’s by far the best implementation of that specific game I’ve seen.

Why isn’t there a battleships game for iphone? (I mean the puzzle game type, NOT the lame board game.)

I know Pathpix from the DS… I am not a fan of the iPhone version. The spacing between colored squares is too big, so when you finished a puzzle it is hard to guess what image you’ve created…

I got this because GeoFighters wasn’t quite doing it for me. The game is quite good, but I’m having trouble connecting to the online leaderboards, which is one of the great things about the XBox Live version.

I said “no” when it asked me about leaderboards at first, and now it won’t save my scores locally. That’s the same with the Live version, to be fair, but a bit annoying they keep the requirement for a mobile device.

Anybody got a view on Super Quickhook? I’m thinking of getting it.

I got it tonight. I haven’t played much, but it seems to be basically Hook Champ (which I love) with much improved graphics, music and no monster chasing you through the levels. These are all improvements.

I’ve played maybe half way through the campaign mode, and it eventually gets annoying – to unlock some of the later levels, you need to beat the ‘developer score’ on some of the earlier levels, which can be a little grindy.

The Avalanche endless mode is great, though.

Overall it’s totally worth what they’re charging, especially if you liked Hook Champ (and really, Hook Champ was awesome).

Just curious, has anyone tried the EA world cup iphone game? It’s on sale $2.99…any good?

Well, I downloaded PathPix lite, and it’s an incredible idea that I find much more pleasing than something like Su Doku which I’ve never grasped. Although the very last puzzle in the lite version has me frustrated. And I’ve bitten and downloaded Super Quickhook - might put up some impressions once I get the hang of what’s going on.

I have it on my iPad. Gameplay is nothing like the console game. Controls are very basic. Having never played anything like this on an iPad or iPhone, I guess I was expecting something similar to the console game but with scaled down graphics. Maybe my expectations were too high. It feels like a rudimentary soccer game from 10 years ago.

There’s supposed to be a Pro Evo Soccer game coming out but right now it’s not available in North America.
