Highborn is free for a day. And Fastar is awesome! Here I am being essentially rolled by a cyan cube.

Anyone picked up SimCity Deluxe? I got SimCity for my old 3GS and it ran like shit. Now that I’ve got a 4 I figured it might run better, but then I saw Deluxe available and now I’m torn. Is it worth the double-dip?
Is it still based on the same edition as the last iPhone port? I’m really hoping to see the original SimCity put on the iPhone. The simpler gameplay would better match the casual distraction element I’m usually looking for in phone games.
Ohh, I’ve been waiting for Sim City Deluxe!
It’s $9 here in Aus (I think that means it’s $7.50 in the US), but I think I’ll have to take the plunge.

It’s apparently just the old one with a new interface and some minor tweaks.

Anyone know what happened to Glu’s fabulous “Beat It” game? The info page for the game is gone from their website and it’s gone from the AppStore. I needed to redownload it for my iPhone 4.

I don’t know but if they took it down it’s gone forever unless you jailbreak. Might try bumping the game’s thread on toucharcade.

Like Propaganda Lander mentioned above, Chop Sushi is another game with a great style and vibe though this is a completely different sort of game, and it’s difficulty level isn’t insane either. Think Bejewelled but with somewhat of a story, various power ups and boosts and a great presentation. Worth the .99cents.

Did you delete it from your iTunes library?
I got this when it was up for free. I like it but the leveling mechanic in Adventure mode seems somewhat pointless so far as it seems the bad guys always match your health and wasabi damage level. The skills are interesting in that they are shared as well, but this has actual gameplay strategy implications as you’ll at times not work towards a recipe as if you get it too close you can leave it their for the opponent to get it instead.

The new Bejeweled Blitz update for iPhone is out. The biggest change is that the game now supports the boosts and coins functionality that’s been in the web and PC versions for a while.

Endorsement accepted… my mother-in-law’s friend’s son made that game, apparently. I guess I’ll give him my dollar!

I kicked a guy outside. It felt good.
From Mumbo Jumbo, the assholes who got Stoneloops of Jurassica removed from the App Store by claiming all kinds of frivolous infringements.
Luxor looks and plays great on the iPhone, so get it today so those boneheads won’t get any money from you.
swords and poker is the bomb.

Ah, that explains all the reviews up there saying “crappy port, bad performance, Stoneloops does this all so much better!”
Ah, revenge reviewing…
Yep. It’s actually pretty fantastic.

Get it for free and then one-star those fuckers.
