Cash Cab is free today.

It’s a fun, quick little trivia game based on the Discovery Channel series of the same name. I bought it on sale a while back, for $2.99 or something, and was satisfied with the purchase. For free, why the hell not?

King of Dragon Pass is coming to iPhone and iPod Touch, btw - if all goes to plan before the end of this year.

Will it be on the app store, or are we going to have to mail a check and get a hand-burned CD in return?

Sweet. I’ll be looking forward to that.

Heh. From what Dunham says, it’ll be on the app store.

Best news ever! Wonder if he’ll do an android version?

omg omg

wait wait! ppl play games on iphone? maybe i should upgrade my stupid blackberry from 2006… oh yes i’m in the stone ages.

Ditto. Well, substitute Blackjack II.

Actually looked at the old 3 version yesterday (I’m cheap) and talked myself out of it…again. I tried to play a couple games and my finger takes up too much screen. It was hard to get used to and then quickly became annoying. I would play more turn-based stuff anyway, though.

KoDP!?!?!?!

personally i don’t know ANYBODY that gets excited to play iphone games… or any phone games. which is why i find this thread with 100k+ views … crazy?

maybe the android gaming thread will catchup someday!

iPhone games rule. They’re practically all I play these days.

I generally don’t play iPod Touch games until I’m completely out of everything else. Partly because I figure I’m saving them for travel, but also largely because I haven’t run into many that are half as good as a decent PC or full sized console game.

I don’t think after 3000+ posts we need to justify that the iPhone has games worth getting excited about.

Ah, I see the krok has noticed our Words game is afoot.

What’s the difference between the free version and the paid version? Ability to play multiple games at once?

I know, I should just Google it already.

Words With Friends free has ads. That’s the only difference.

As far as I can see, the free version is identical except it has ads. I’ve gotten so used to hitting “skip” on the ad after each move, I really don’t mind. You can host multiple games just fine with the free version.

I mean really now. Tom has blogged about iPhone/iTouch games. Gamespot and IGN now have sections devoted to mobile gaming, essentially meaning games on this platform. This thread has pretty much been on the first or second page of this forum for a year. Apple has even made the gaming aspect of the iPhone part of a national TV campaign.

I upgraded to the paid version, anyway. It’s a pretty decent Scrabble clone, and $2.99 isn’t too much to reward the developers’ efforts.

So you’re not talking to the bear that shares a cave with you? Because even that guy got a 3GS when they went super cheap last year.

No interest in even a cheap Iphone 3GS. I have a Touch, but I don’t like playing games on it. I do like playing some of the games on my IPad.
