yep… it’s worth $.99… with it going up for free you can buy the expansion for $.99!

Ok, Silverfish is cool. It’s been around for a while but I never bit, but it’s now on sale at $0.99. It’s like a cross between Pac-Man and the pacifist mode from Geometry Wars 2.

Um, yeah, what? Sponsored updates: the horrible horrible future.

Serious sponsorship? Or a shout-out by hungry devs?

Download the ten billionth app, get get ten thousand dollars*.

*In an iTunes gift certificate.

Ok guy’s this is it.

Paradigm shifting game for the iPhone, I am calling it right now.

That is, if it get’s enough attention (and it will). Kijjaa!

It takes 2 seconds to set up, and it works. I can totally see flash gaming websites put out a universal controller for their website, and release the api to it’s flash devs.

The game is really simple, and on it’s own I would never recommend buying it. But the gee-wiz factor is at 11 out of 10, and it’s fucking awesome!

Really? Or are you being sarcastic? I can’t tell, I just had a bad meeting at work, which stripped me of all sense of humor for the next 12 hours. :)

The idea seems really stupid to me, I would never use it. I would pretty much never play flash games to begin with and I would totally never use my iPhone to control them.

Geared 2 is free today and this weekend.

Looks like it’ll hit in about two and a half days, maybe there’ll be an app then I wanted anyway.

I don’t know if you all have heard of a little game called Game Developer’s Story, but it is spectacularly awesome. I would say I caught glimpses of 3 plays between the Jets and Pats and an equal amount of glimpses of my children before their 9 o’clock bedtime as a result of having my nose pressed in the game for…yikes, maybe 10 hours??? I just calculated it. Who does that?

I am less than patient with learning even the most simple of games nowadays. I actually bought it for $.99 a month or more ago and just sat down and tried it yesterday. Wow.

I imagine I was the last one on the board to try it, but if by some off chance you have not, this is yet another loudly ringing endorsement.

That is, by far, the worst contest reward I have EVER heard of.

Think about it for a second: you’re going to owe $2500 in taxes on that and at $1 a song and $1-$5 an app it’s going to take you about a hojillion years to use it.

No thanks. I’ve now got an excellent reason not to buy anything for the next few weeks.

That’s actually… a pretty good point. Huh…

iTunes and iDevices are also absolutely horrible about gracefully handling very large collections of apps. Seriously, it’s really fucking bad. God help you if you have to, say, restore your device because 2GB of the 8GB on the device are eaten by junk files you can’t get rid of any other way.

I cannot stop playing Drop7.

Citizens, I haven’t posted much lately because I’ve been hard at work on my secret volcano lair.

But when I haven’t been working on that, I’ve been working on my iPhone game, Airstrike Command. I asked Tom if I could pimp it here, and he agreed.

Airstrike Command was born from me playing time management line-drawing games like Flight Control and Harbor Master and wishing that I could make stuff blow up sometimes.

In our game, you control a customizable squadron of planes and defend a unit of Marines trapped behind enemy lines who are trying to make their way home. You draw the path their airstrikes take with your finger and try to keep your Marines alive. Each of the planes has a different specialty and twist on the control scheme.

We’re hoping to release at the end of February for 99 cents or 59 pence. Fingers crossed for that. Hope you guys don’t mind if I drop the gameplay video in here next weekish.

There’s a post here on our blog (with more screenshots) about it if you’d like to know more.

Cool idea! I’ll buy.

Huzzah!

You stole my idea that I never would have been able to do, so I’m looking forward to playing this. :)

Today I Die Again is free for now in the app store. It’s a neat little artsy thing that takes about ten minutes and then you can delete it.

Flying Hamster is pretty awesome.
