Easy is for sissies. ;)
I think my most turns are 240 or so. Maybe that is a better indicator of success (failure).
My best game yet (on Normal) shows 286 turns, 788 XP, 770 GP, 560 UP, for a score of 2804. No level, though. Is 788 XP equivalent to level 7? And what does 560 UP mean?

The level only shows up when it is doin’ the calculatin’ of your final score.
I am not sure how the score works. I know I got level 8 with far fewer turns so I must have it some super-duper experience multiplier at some point.
I bet I have played close to 100 games. That battery charger is earning its keep as of late.
I haven’t played DR since they added Open Feint, so that appears to’ve wiped my high scores. I know that the longest game I ever played was around 1200 turns and I ended up suiciding myself on a spike boss at one point just so I could see my ultimate score.
Okay, so UP refers to upgrade points which are the points that accumulate in the armor row. And 566 XP translate to level 6 so I guess the level is the hundreds digit plus one.

I’m about the same on normal. Once you crack 10, you just keep going until finally the stats max out and it gets hard again, 50 levels later.
I think I’m only going to play on expert from now on, keep the games short. The long game was fatiguing.
I love, no scratch that, I adore Battleheart. Sure, it’s pretty simple and grindy, but it’s just the perfect format for an iOS game. Sure, sometimes, it gets pretty hectic, but I try to reposition my little guys between each wave, to move the healer out of the way instead of getting the tank on top… Positionning is the key there. Sure it’s cramped, but with enough dexterity I can get the littel guys to do what I want them too.
Oh, grind is absolutely mandatory, or you’ll be under levelled, and you’ll get down too fast to react.
I don’t know if it’s really deep or anything or if there’s enough synergy between the skills, but I feel like playing one man WoW, and five hours in I want more. There’s just enough shiny and new powers to unlock in order to give it that one more fight addiction.
The power curve feel right. I’m starting enjoying the bard for exemple, and my rogue is just plain awesome, just like a Wow rogue, backstabbing and almost one shooting the baddies, the berserk also feels good when he starts popping the cooldowns like crazy in a bunch of weak mobs…
I don’t get the love for Dungeon Raid, though, I find it too repetitive for its own good, on normal at least.
Tiny Wings
This bird is not angry but completely charming. Very good initial impression. Simple and elegant.
This game has multi-million seller written all over it.
If Apple features it I expect sales to go through the roof.
edit: maybe it doesn’t need to be featured. It’s at #44 paid apps and climbing awfully fast.
Really attractive art style, totally enjoyable game for a handful of games, not sure I’d play a lot more than that. Certainly worth a buck.
Big missed opportunity on the soundtrack though.

Wow, you guys aren’t kidding about this game. It’s fantastic.
The objectives are a very nice touch; I keep finding myself playing just one more game to see if I can level up my nest.

I’ve been playing through Sword and Poker while going out for the odd cigarette. It’s brilliant. It just seems a pity that you can’t put cards on the semi-completed rows to finish out games, i.e. that you can only follow the same rows that you could put down at the start of the match. Still, I have a long way to go, and a complete sequel.
Tiny Wings is now #17 top paid apps, all without a publisher and little advertising.
And remember, this was made by ONE GUY.
One likely soon to be very rich guy.
edit: make that #16.

Well I threw the guy a buck.
Yeah, the objectives are a lot of fun: they not only lessen repetition but feel rewarding, too.
#4 now, I don’t recall even seeing it when I looked through the top 25 this morning.
Great to hear it is doing well. I picked it up as soon as I saw the recommendation here and think it is a lovely, relaxing little game. I hope it continues to do well.
It appears that the entire smartphone world believes it’s worth a buck!

I think he should keep the momentum going and get an android version out there.
OMG SO CUTE
Also, surprisingly difficult to dive at the right time and compromise between maximum speed and maximum coins. Nice design.
