Dungeon Hunter 2 is a buck on both platforms.
Bang!, which is based on the card game of the same name is now $0.99. I’ve never gotten a chance to play the game, and once again, I’m able to try out card and card games cheaply with the iPnone.
Dungeon Raid looks to be getting a pretty big update

Hooray! I love that game! No other game on my phone provides a bigger timesink.

Are there any iTouch games that you can play direct multiplayer? Like air hockey, etc. My son has an iPad and I have a touch, but we share the same itunes account. I was wondering if there was a way to ‘network’ both devices to be able to play 2 player games?

I know for sure that Battleship allows 1v1 play via wifi, surely there must be other games that do that as well. An update to Infinity Blade is also promising vs mode, not sure if that will be wifi or only through the Game Center.

Looks like some interesting additions.
Of course, I still haven’t figured out how to score more than 2000 on Harder…
Disc Drivin’ - supports local multiplayer over a wifi and bluetooth network, or you can do it over the internet although move updates aren’t instantaneous.
I had a breakthrough game of Dungeon Raid last night and am at level 14 on Harder with no sign of weakening. Not that it isn’t tense! Before this, the furthest I usually got was level 6 or so.

I think I have finally gotten to 14 a couple times, but there are plenty of games I only get to 4. I think my high score is now 4,700 or so.
Ra is on sale for $1.99 and Medici is on sale for $.99. Continuing my quest to get most of the Knizia board/card games. I am skipping the puzzle-y games for now.

Ok, so who is up for Gameloft World of Warcraft?

It is probably the most shameless ripoff in terms of art direction, but holy shit balls. It will probably be a peer to peer loot based open world game with up to 4 players in co-op, but even that would be awesome!
Can’t wait to get more news for this one…

I find it hard to use the touchscreen controls, but I think I just need practice.
Just saw on Touch Arcade that Dark Nebula: Episode 2 is free over this weekend.
I recommend this one. Short but fun. Much better production values than the normal iPhone game.

Plants vs Zombies and Plants vs Zombies HD are both discounted this weekend with all proceeds going to relief in Japan.

All of Popcap’s games are 99 cents, so that includes Bookworm, Peggle, Bejeweled 2 + Blitz, and Chuzzle.
Though I also saw another game in PopCap’s library called “Escape Rosecliff Island”. It’s actually pretty cool! Nice mixture of relaxing classic puzzle games, like word searches, hidden pictures, match-3, etc. Nothing innovative, just a nice implementation of some classic games.

Also their iPad games are also on sale for 1.99 they are donating the money to the red cross from all of the sales.
I picked up Speedball 2:Evolution for the iPod touch, and it’s pretty fun. Very well done; used to play the original way back in the day.
The Pinball HD/Slayer Pinball folks have a new 3 table pinball game out, War Pinball HD. Tables based on Platoon, Navy Seals, and Missing in Action. Looks to be on par with their other pinball games. Physics seems about the same so far, still I’d say they are doing the best Pinball on the Iphone/Ipad.
I succumbed at level 17 when a spiky boss with a high attack rating popped in, and the swords/coins/health/shields all kept falling into view in really unhelpful ways. My previous best was level 8, so this was quite a different game. If anyone’s interested, my skills were:
- change coins into swords
- double sword damage
- banish a boss
- make enemies attack themselves
I had just banished a boss when spiky boss showed up, making me wonder if boss appearances are a purely random event, rather than a timed (every X turns) event.
