One game of scrabble every 25 years may be too many.

That’s it, I’m challenging you.

Poor Omni is desperate to beat me at SOMETHING. ;)

And not doing a terrible job at it, either.

Strangely enough, I did the exact same thing. The sudoku type thing was OK for a bit, and the crate-push thing was fun until I realised the levels were exactly the same as some version I have previously played. I just have some kind of mental deficiency when it comes to slide puzzles. I think I’m just desperate for new puzzle games. I miss Trainyard. Considering starting it all over again from scratch, for the third time.

Now I remember why I stopped playing Scrabble all those years ago. 2 letter words that nobody uses in real life and nobody that doesn’t play Scrabble would ever know.

QI is the greatest word ever.

Don’t forget the plethora of cheating programs that make winning trivial.

Random post to fix the thread.

EA has one of those $.99 holiday sales going again…including Scrabble.

Has anyone played the Tiger woods on the iphone? Tempted to pick that one up if its any good.

Thanks for the heads up! I wanted to get Snood for iPad last time bit it wasn’t on sale. It is this time, though.

The Tiger Woods iPhone games are great. Good visuals, nice swing mechanic, and a lot of content especially for the price.

The new Tiger Woods this year on iOS is one of, if not the, best non-motion controlled golf game I’ve ever played. It’s -extremely- hard and unforgiving. Which is awesome, as Tiger Woods is generally too easy.

Can’t recommend it enough.

Picked it up today and played a quick 9 holes to try it out. Seems like a winner indeed. Can’t wait to really get into it.

The Heist got an enthusiastic review on Slide to Play. It’s only $0.99 so I gave it a shot, and I like it so far. Highly polished collection of four varieties of puzzles, with the pretense that you’re cracking a safe.

Yeah, the main drawback is that it’s pretty short.

But it’s a very well-produced collection of 4 puzzle types: Sliding Block, amorphous image-based sudoku, sliding tiles (with an interesting wire path element), and Boxxle/Sokoban. So if you like those kinds of puzzles, it’s a bargain at 99 cents.

Plus, there’s a nifty reward at the end inside the vault. I don’t want to give away the surprise, but I will say it’s a rather surprising and generous gift that by any reasonable measure exceeds the purchase price. If you want to know what it is, you can easily google the answer.

Are there any multiplayer games for iPhone that aren’t turn-based? I feel like this is technically feasible, but no-one has done it. Or am I blanking on something obvious?

I know there are a bunch but Dungeon Defenders is the only one that comes to mind.

There’s a ton though I’m not sure if they are 3g or wifi/bluetooth. Need for Speed has multiplayer for instance.

There’s a few FPS games like Archtype, Eliminate, etc. I just checked and the Eliminate games will play over 3g.
