That misses the point of Junk Jack, though. It’s Terraria when you don’t have access to a PC to play Terraria.

The devs also seem to be doing it right, unlike the dork who published Crafty, a 2D Minecraft clone that used ripped Minecraft art assets.

I do tend to miss the point a lot as I buy up iPhone games at $.99 and then don’t play them.

And I don’t know how Crafty has not been yanked.

Whoops, it was called Crafted, and it was yanked.

Mine craft is out. 8.99.

Anyone take the plunge yet? How is it?

It’s the same as the version out on Android. No adventure mode, just sandbox building. Price is a bit steep for my blood until they add more features.

I picked it up. The multiplayer works amazingly well!

Searching for Minecraft on the app store sure turns up a lot of stuff. Minecraft booth, soundboard, reflex, etc, etc. People really jumped on that Minecraft train, didn’t they?

Also, looks like the price of the real Minecraft dropped already - now $6.99.

We announced our first iOS game today: Hero Academy!

Looks sweet. I immediately went to the app store, but looks like we have to wait :(

Yeah, we haven’t set a release date on it yet but you don’t have too long to wait.

Looks great, Xemu!

Looks cool, Xemu. Love the character art!

TA had a feature on this today. Looks like fun.

Really like the looks of it, will be checking it out!

Bungie’s Crimson: Steam Pirates is out on the iPhone now for 99 cents.

There’s a new fun time waster called ZONR. It’s free with an in-app purchase to remove ads and buy a theme for $1. Basically it shows you a grid with tetris-style interlocking shapes making up a square. You have to click on the biggest one. Repeat as fast as you can for 90 seconds. It’s strangely addictive and has leaderboards for score competition.

Are there any really good, grogonardy games for iOS (and Android maybe?). I am looking for something else for my uniwar buddies to play - or any sort of asynchronous multiplayer game really.

mmm, maybe Battle for Wesnoth?

Cross platform multiplayer too. You can try it out on PC for free to see if you like the general setup.

HD version as well.

And thats all I’ve played.
