Yeah, that’s the top down Xbox (not Xbox 360, Xbox) version of “Bard’s Tale”
Played undercroft? It’s even free now which is surprising given it’s quality

Anyone get Bard’s Tale? Any thoughts.
Junk Jack is awesome, anyone heard talk of an Ipad version?
I have, which is why I was hoping for the original Bards Tale.

- Will there be an iPad version? What about OSX?
At the moment we’re focusing on iPhone release but an iPad version is absolutely plausible (even if it’s currently playable at 2x with no efforts, just a little bit pixelated) while an OSX version is something we thought about, we’ll see in the future!
Yes, actually. It’s quite good, but I want more. :>
I’d particularly like something in the Wizardry/Bard’s Tale/Might & Magic lineage, which Undercroft is close to but not quite.
EA is having a month-long promotion here
Sims Medieval is free until Noon EST Dec. 3. Then it’ll be something else, so check the link above. ALso Shift 2 Unleashed.

I wonder if I will enjoy it more as an iPhone game. After a few days of questing and then realizing half of the stuff you can build and create is unnecessary, i did not see much point in continuing. I felt like I was being pulled along a narrow corridor.

So I bought it, haven’t even tried it yet, has anyone here played it?

I was going to, and then Zen Pinball happened, so I haven’t even launched it yet.
It does, and the asynchronous multiplayer makes it a day one sale for me.
This looks great! But I see nothing about any AI on that page… Is there an AI, or is it multiplayer only?
Do we have (or need) an Infinity Blade II thread? Control-wise it’s a great improvement – parrying is finally viable!! – and Chair/Epic have removed several of the more annoying features, such as only being allowed a single strike when you botch a chain of dodges. Now you can get in multiple hits. Speeds up combat tremendously.
However… One of the loot drops is a “prize wheel” which you can spin for a random prize (it has a perfect sound effect associated with it, BTW). On my first spin it dropped a 120 damage heavy axe. I’m now two-shotting every single enemy, rendering the game crazy easy. Did I just get lucky, or is this by design?

Anyone try this X-com clone yet? “Aliens vs. Humans”?

Regarding Infinity Blade II, my son started playing it this morning, he says it’s fun but seems to be pretty easy. I’m going to start playing after the 4:00 NFL games are over.
Looks like the Return of the Fallen expansion is live for Ascension.
Also, the confusingly named Bejeweled, an adaption of Bejeweled 3, is available for $.99.

So what is the absolute best game out there for the iPhone? It can be any genre, but it has the be the kind of game that you would play for 50 hours and not get bored kind of thing. Recently, I picked up Dungeon Raid and King of Dragons Pass, and they are the kind of games I would put in that catagory. I’ve been playing Dragons pass at HOME, which is so rare.
I’ve been playing Infinity Blade 2 lately. Enjoyed it a lot. Played it the same way I played the first one. Upgrade one piece at a time. Master every item the. It extends the life of things, keeps me from out pacing the game, and gives me more stats in the long run. The combat is a bit more balanced. The parry is more valuable, and a lot easier to pull off. Dodging isn’t so powerful here thanks to the stamina bars. The three weapon types keep things fresh.
I picked up Assassin’s Creed Recollections despite the real time pace of the game. So far I’m not regretting the purchase. The gameplay is fun, and the realtime pace adds a new layer of strategy to the game. Definitely one of the more fun card games I’ve played of late.
Would like to get my hands on Ascension. Could anyone send me a PM telling me some of the strong points of the game, and what makes it a good buy? For someone who was into Magic the Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh.
