I totally understand your point. And in fact it has some serious UI issues. But beta, right? They say there is no way to land on planets at this time. I’m hoping for the best but not expecting too much. And I got 1 mil credits for signing up for the beta way back when it was just a website.
Hey, Rich, it was a BIG crush. All you got to tell me is that the herpes is totally in remission.

What?! Traveller? As in the rpg system traveller??!

Indeed, just like the classic space RPG we know and love. There’s a lot of potential here, though the accelerometer based control system is atrocious.

I can testify this as well. I’m not typically a huge TD fan and was wondering WHY I still had this game on my iPad. After a few plays, even though I still suck, I relented and realized I had to leave it be (the voices in my head won’t let me remove it).

So…out of touch for quite a bit but…
Triple Town has finally made it to iOS! Free but if you want to permanently remove the silly turn limits you’ll need to cough up for a $6.99 IAP!
Puzzlejuice is a freaky retro blast! Combining a Spelltower-like word game with Tetris and even utilizes cute little Tiny Bird like objectives to unlock its 6 power-ups. During any session you can choose any 3 of your unlocked power-ups and, unlike the nasty trend these days, once a power-up is unlocked you don’t have to repurchase it for each use.
Dungeon Raid is almost back! Fireflame has just released the Android version after a long seeming hiatus and then has pledged to get back to work on the iOS version with the first priority making it universal (with retina and HD graphics)!
So what’s new with you?
Not sure about the MMO part of it.
Today in shame: I “beat” Tiny Tower this morning. 154 floors, 285/285 dream jobs fulfilled. I can keep building floors, but there are no more stores to open.

In the day, I think this was my favorite game. It actually got my wife into gaming- she used to go home at lunch from work just to take care of her tower…so many hours of fun. I had no idea Tiny Tower was out there.
The best part now is that I can play during work!

just got dungeon crawlers and so far so good (control scheme is decent, but i wish cycling between my 3 units was a little easier… damn you baldur’s gate for making me so needy, but overall - I’m really happy with the game).
now, excuse me while i finish the scripting for our own game, before my partners kill me. (suneaters campaign should be out soon enough!)
here’s the link for anyone interested:

My gf and I have been playing this regularly for quite awhile now. She puts a lot more time in than me, and decided to keep building after we hit “the end”. It’s fun trying to improve our ranking on Gamecenter. 185 floors atm. Next time they put out a patch we’ll be able to build the new floors pretty fast :)

Anybody else check out Tweet Land yet?
A very cute take on almost retro Spy Hunter like gameplay but with a cheesy gimmicky twist. The game supposedly draws its random events from key words in the Twitterverse. In the earliest levels only a few key words are recognized like “Health” (a health pack will then appear in the game), “Car Accident” (a couple of cars in the game will suddenly swerve out of control), and “Meteor” (which causes a giant meteor to crash down int front of the player causing a big obstacle to avoid). As the player progresses through the levels more key words are added to this supposed constant search of the Twitterverse with such words and phrases as “Emergency Landing”, “Volcano”, “Police Car”, and “Angry Bull” just to name a very few.
The fact that the game plays just fine offline and some of these key words are as obscure as “Mother Monster”, I’m inclined to believe the claimed Twitter tie-in is a bit of nonsense (sure the game even shows you the Twitter posts the event key words were drawn from but there is nothing so far that suggests these aren’t anything more than a bunch of pre-stored tweets it’s drawing from).
Ghost Trick, the fantastic DS adventure game, is out tonight.

…and Nintendo wonders why it had a huge loss this quarter after dismissing iOS as a threat.

I know it is the tacky knock off competitor that, if rumors are true, didn’t just reverse engineer the game from scratch but actually had the nearly complete Triple Town code to work from (I think at one point Spryfox was in negotiations with the these guys as a potential publisher), but Yeti Town just came out with an update that ELIMINATES the stupid limited turn crap and is free. How they try to remedy this, besides selling the coin packs just like Triple Town, is by adding a few interesting permanent IAP options like Yeti Traps and Bombs (so actually stuff not in the REAL Triple Town) but they also included some cheesy “Restock” IAP that will restock the game’s store of items in a game that feels REALLY cheap and cheaty.
Does anyone know if this is true asynchronous multiplayer (like Words with Friends or Ascension)? If so, I have a purchase to make.

Just downloaded the update. It’s true asynchronous multiplayer, though just from a few minutes of fooling with it it seems a little on the buggy side.
edit: Although now that I’ve got a full game going it seems to be working without issue.

If I’ve never played Ticket to Ride, is the iOS version recommended on an iPhone?
