Glad you like it - back when I first got it on the PC I chatted with the developer about how well I thought it would do on other platforms, and then forgot about it. When I got my iPhone I started wondering whether they had followed up, and there it was!
Simple to play but requires some thought and strategy, and just enough progression carrots to keep you playing.
Hi All-
First off, thank you Tom Chick for helping us get an account set up.
Now a brief intro; I work in the Big Fish Games studio team…the folks who created Fairway Solitaire. We’re stoked that you like our game!
We discovered this nifty forum since we have search engine alerts (read: Google!) set up for fairway solitaire; it helps us monitor bug issues and overall feedback on the game.
So…we created an account on Quarter to Three to be able to assist and answer questions re: the game.
Please let us know if you have any questions/issues with Fairway Solitaire…and we will do our best to answer in a timely manner.
P.S. On Wednesday, we released a content update to the game so there are now additional holes/cards/trophies.

Awesome. I too picked up the game recently based on Jeff’s recommendation and have really enjoyed it. Played a LOT of solitaire as a kid to pass the time and would comb the According to Hoyle book for different solitaire games. My favorite was actually a variant they had called “Golf Solitaire”. I would play 18 times and keep a running tally of how I did.
It took me about 3 minutes into the “Lite” version to pull the trigger on buying the game.
Nice work!
Wow! Glad you are enjoying the game. And thanks Jeff for the recommendation :)
Everyone go buy Hero Mages. The developer is adding asynchronous play in the next month or two plus the other classes available to the pc players as IAP in the same timeframe. Essentially it is a tbs game but has board game type dice mechanic. Plus the spells are done through your hero using cards that make you change up your strategy depending on your draw. I hope to have more people to play againist soon!

You’re welcome. I talked with your guys back when it was new on the PC and asked/suggested a mobile phone version, so very glad to see it is out. Just needs some more PR, it is a GREAT game.

Hello guys with your European headquarters just up the road from me! Welcome to the forums. Try and take on as many of the Blizzard redundancies as you can. They’re good gaming people. :D
Yes we do! It’s still pretty new on iOS. So far, all the reviews have been stellar (kotaku, tuaw, toucharcade, usa today…)
If there are other places you think we ought to be, please let me know and I will ask our PR folks to reach out.
Are you in Cork? I haven’t been there yet…but I hear it’s nice :)
Hey Big Fish,
Saw Fairway Solitaire on the iPad’s “New and Noteworthy” list while monitoring our own new release this week (Little Labyrinths) and decided to pick it up.
Very cool game, and addicting. It’s definitely a great mix of simplicity and strategy of the kind that we are our constantly striving for at ByteSize. Kudos.

Yeah. I live a few miles outside the city. The West Cork coast is beautiful. If you’re ever over here, try and get a day or two off to get on a boat, see some of the coast and have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the amazing little harbours you can find.
I know a few people who work in Blizzard, and they know people who were laid off. They may have been WoW playing recluses, but they’re good gaming folk. My big hope is that the Irish government do something in the next few budgets to help boost the tech and especially the gaming industry. There’s so much customer service positions in those industries here, but we need to move up the ladder and have development.
Anyway, big up to Big Fish. You’re a shining light in the games field here.

Yep fairway solitaire is a daily staple of mine in my lunch hour, great little game. Just recently updated it as well with 24 more challenges.

Thought about having a solitaire game, maybe this will do the trick.
Hey guys, if the next thing mentioned in this thread could be that Neuroshima Hex has finally gotten its asynchronous play sorted, that would be great! Thanks, guys!
Sorry for the delay in responding to this question…just seeing it now.
Per one of the producers of the game:
“because of the different aspect ratios, the iPhone and iPad have different course layouts, which, as you know, makes the courses very different!”
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the heads-up. Just purchased “Little Labyrinthys” on my iphone…and I am $0.99 poorer.

Awww…you didn’t have to do that, but we definitely appreciate it and hope that you like it!
And if it makes you feel any better, both I and my wife became the proud owners of Fairway Solitaire this weekend, so I think Big Fish did even better than ByteSize in this exchange (though Apple did best of all :) ).
Thanks again!
YOU TEASE! I ran immediately to the AppStore to look for the update because you mentioned it. I wanted it so bad.

is out on iPhone. I guess it’s a port of the Wii version. I’ve only played the PC remake from 7-8 years ago. It seems just like it so far!
