Broken Sword: Director’s Cut is now available for the iPhone. And for $6.99, it’s a steal considering the DS version was $30 and didn’t have voice acting, which this does.

And I’m sure most people already know but this is easily one of the most acclaimed adventure games ever made, and is probably regarded even more than Monkey Island or Beneath A Steel Sky were.

Excellent, I’ve been waiting for this release!

…er, where is this game available? It’s still not on my iTunes store. :(

edit: Okay, it’s there now. Downloading!

I downloaded and played Heavy Mach 2 Lite last night. I love the controls. This is the best portable Diablo clone I have ever played. Can anyone say what more you get with the paid version?

I also grabbed Necromancer Rising for $4.99. http://www.necromancerrising.com/

It is as old school as they come and still needs some polishing. But the atmosphere is great and the game reminds me of early FPS’s like Ultima Underworld. The music and sound effects when you are in the dungeon are great. It has 50 levels, 49 bosses, and supposedly over 50,000 unique items and weapons. The controls and menus are kind of rough. But I am really enjoying it despite the flaws.

Having played it more, I’m concerned about the difficulty curve on this game. It’s way, way too easy. For some reason, they make your opponents so much weaker than you that you have to be trying to lose. I’m on the 15th floor and I’ve only come close to losing once.

Kind of a bummer, because the game design is otherwise pretty stellar and it seems like this would be easy to fix.

I like HookChamp, LiltLine, Superbrothers. But most of these games try to be very mainstream. They look and feel samey.

I posted about Lilt Line a while back and I didn’t think anyone else here was into it - definitely worth checking out, if you like Tron lightcycles and/or dubstep.

The controls take a bit of getting used to, and agree, targeting is just terrible. Why they didn’t make it so you can tap on targets…

I had zero issues with the DS version. This one, while a steal at 10 bucks, has annoyed be a few times with the control.

terrible controls is like a GTA trademark… I don’t know why I allways buy them… but they create really cool, great worlds.

I made a demo of Quozzle Planets. Basically it is Quozzle but with a SciFi themed art design. To you Quozzle players a question: would you like a more neutral art design instead of the original art work (which is not that easy to understand)?

Jungle Crash. Free puzzle game with lots of levels. Once
you learn the mechanics it throws little twists at you and is quite addictive. Simple but fun and free.

I’m playing the beta version of Warpgate, which is an Escape Velocity-like game for the iPhone. Stay tuned, this looks like a winner.

And yes it has a dynamic economy.

just released Quozzle Quest 1.1 If you guys need some promo codes, please PM me… it is a mix between Scrabble, Domino, basically a strategy game with a unique art style.

1.1 has a new Blitz mode, but when playing right, you can stay alive long enough to rack up some points.

Crayon Physics Deluxe is only .99 today.

I am really enjoying Space Miner: Space Ore Bust.

It definitely has some amazing polish!

There’s some serious creaming going on in the Touch Arcade forums over this game. So it’s good, then? Looks a little like an iPhone version of Moonpod’s Starscape.

Amazing game.

It’s Star Control 2 meets Super Stardust meets Star Raiders with some RPG thrown in too.

It’s also very well written and actually funny. Not like Ratchet and Clank mouthbreather “funny”, but funny funny.

The story revels in its tired cliches and just has fun with them! The characters are such over-the-top caricatures but you’re still riveted to your seat wanting to see where the story was going to end up.

another +1 for Space Miner. I find the controls a little clunky at times, but no worse than other games for the phone.
