Picked up Space Ore Miner or whatever it’s called, and I add to the chorus of people saying it’s excellent. Plus+ is pushing http://plusplus.com/news/92-Test-your-tactical-zombie-survival-skills this Zogma game. Anyone tried it? Is it turn based? Is it tower defense? Is it one of those games like Elona Shooter where zombies run at you from one side of the screen and you shoot at them from the other (but not with towers)?

iPhone GTA Chinatown wars is $3 off this week, putting it just under $7, starts Friday

Whoa! Fighting Fantasy Warlock etc is a Steve Jackson RPG Choose Your Own Adventure book?! I was obsessed with his Sorcery! series of books when I was in junior high.

And only $2.99? That’s a must-have. Thanks for the tip.

Awesome!

Regarding the Plants vs. Zombies release in a few days, it looks like the game will only be $2.99!

That is an insanely good deal, even if the iPhone version has less content than the PC one.

This is my surgery recovery week and so I BUY EVERY (five dollar or less) GAME I FEEL LIKE BUYING!!! Zogna is ok. You have 1-3 autofiring dudes on the right, zombies come at you from the right, and you can upgrade your guys with different weapons, or control them a little. It’s structured into little themed
vignettes sort of like L4D. Nice humor too. This is based on the first vignette and a little of the second.

2360: Battle for Zydonia is Robotron with mechs, and just as good as that sounds – although somewhat repetitive.

What’s different in hardcore? I liked the game but I’m reluctant to go through it again if the enemies just do more damage.

Also, thanks everyone for the recent recommendations, I’ve bought most of them and haven’t been disappointed yet!

Buy Angry Birds, they just added more levels and dropped it down to a buck.

Yeah, and they just released the second book Deathtrap Dungeon.

Tis out.

I picked this iPhone version up for 7 bucks during this weekend’s sale, and like it, except I’m having a real hard time with the driving. I can’t decide whether analog or digital steering is better. Right now I’m on the early car theft mission and the best I can do is get two cars of the three back to the garage, mostly I think due to how badly my driving sucks. Does anyone know whether the little hacking minigame for one of the cars takes place in real time or whether the mission timer is paused during it? Because that one is killing me, and if it’s eating time off the mission timer, that’s messed up.

Plants vs Zombies is out now. $2.99.

Slide To Play claims it’s a great port.

Too bad it doesn’t have the minigames, but for $3 I’m not gonna complain.

Why would they cut that?

Good question. It doesn’t seem like Endless Survival would be impossible on the phone or anything.

I dunno. Maybe they’re gonna sell an expanded version later if it does well or something.

WOO! That is an insane price for this game.

p.s. I just played a few levels and the port is nearly perfect. Controls are nice and accurate too. Hopefully they add the minigames in a future update or something.

Yeah. I think I may actually like it better on the phone – it just feels kinda right as a touch game.

I would totally pay for the minigames as DLC or something.

Damn it. Another game for the backlog. It’s bad enough the unplayed games I leave at home; now I’m taking them with me. But for $2.99, of course I’ll pick up a portable version of one of my favorite games of last year.

I can attest to the excellence of Plants vs. Zombies. It is a definite must buy at that price.

PvZ is fantastically good and great price. If you don’t like this game on iPhone there’s a good chance you should give up video games altogether =)

I love me some Plants vs. Zombies, but since I already beat it more than once on PC, I’m not jumping on this right away. Especially without the fantastic minigames, which I expect will be added as in-app purchases instead
