I think I read somewhere that the matches would be available to watch after the tourney is done.
yeah after a while they all go on youtube under Eve Tournament #X. it really is cool to watch the old ones, but sadly they are nowhere near the same quality as the live steam ones.
So my corp, Antipodean Inc, is going to war with a small Aussie corp called Jovian Alliance. Reason 1: “There are too many ships in space” and Reason 2: We’re looking to poach members. Hahah.
ANP is back? awesome news, say hi to the fellas.
Hehe yeah 3ungle started it up again. Got tired of Alliance politics I think.
if you are an aussie TZ corp, Convicted is looking like a pretty cool option

Now we have to wait a week for more tourney action. :( Sadly I think the tourney made my weekend pretty enjoyable. Now if the Blackhawks could just win tonight I would be downright happy going to work tomorrow.
Im so glad its over for now, everyone was too busy watching the damm tournament to actually play the game.

Hilarious, isnt it. Also now new peak concurrent user record: 60,453 Pilots.
Also sah the silly video they broadcasted on EveTV :D
The tournament is one of those things that puts eve in a different class from other games - that such gameplay is even possible is remarkable.
So what’s Flavor of the Month this year? And what cunning tactics are there?

I havent seen all matches but Ive seen a very successfull and beautiful 3 Machariel setup from Red Overlords steam rolling their opponents and one Bhaalgorn Flagship with Apocs doing a tremendous job as well one Bhaalgorn Flagship becoming a very expensive wreck.
Both were fitted around the 10+ billion mark o.O.
There seem to be three major setups, the BS dps route, the HACs/CC/Cruiser size focused ones and the stealthbombers for dps ones.
Naturally all with their different flavours of ships. Drakes arent the total shit anymore, EM used three and all survived but Tengus have been compared be “the new drake” aka 0% survival rate till that comment.
What scout summarized, but from what I’ve seen…
In:
BS’s played to strengths
BC’s played to strengths (besides Drakes)
Machariels
Multi-layered logistics (there have been some awesome drone rep setups that turned the tide it seems)
Tackling
Tengus in multiple roles
Bombers (carry over from last year’s success?)
The Battle Badger
Out:
Drakes in most roles
Basilisks (versus Scimitars which seem to have fared better)
Cruisers in just about any role
Destroyers in just about any role
It’s been pretty heavy Caldari and Minmitar, which is to be expected, but some surprisingly one-sided victories by Amar or Gallente heavy teams.
I don’t see this as a problem, this happens with regular big sporting events too. I loved it.

Have to say, I’m not into MMOs and won’t be playing EVE, but watching those tournament battles is a blast. I’m viewing some of the day 2 stuff now.
