Yeah- memories of my dominix going down :P
one big question: if there is one ship I have never ever ever seen in game, it is the high tier Caldari battleship the Rokh! Why have I never seen this ship? I have seen hyperions before, and it seems kind of like that- an expensive battleship with a niche role.
I think it’s because they are sniper ships and you dont see many of those in FW, altho i heard the blasterokh is pretty good.

It isn’t a good match for most Caldari pilots as it uses hybrids instead of missiles, it’s also not heavily used in long range sniper fleets because it shield tanks and most fleet BS armour tank so the logistics efforts and fleet doctrines are based around that.
It’s a lot more expensive than an Apocalypse or a Megathron which are the other main sniping BS hulls.

Its ammo use is a real pain in the ass, too. Once you figure you’re going to need to bring some LO and maybe some cap boosters, there’s not room in the hold for enough ammo to keep you going for long. I trained large hybrid turrets for it, and after living with the shortcomings for a while, trained large energy turrets so I could use an apoc instead.
I am… I’m using excel… oh god.
I’m setting up excel sheets for the 3 wormhole systems I have access to, Bing, Ching, and King. I’m not telling you the locust signatures. I’m listing the planets, the planet type, and resource concentrations. This should let me plan some nice solar system wide production networks. And god help me, but if this turns out fun in the way that mining production never has, I’m going to train up alts on my accounts for bigger production chains. Thats 8 characters with lets say 5 CC’s each, that’s 40 CC’s I can setup. Though I would need to train up 1 alt in each system to be at least a bare minimum scanner so I can get exit holes (we have permanent high sec exit holes in all 3 systems)

This should always be the default answer to the question in the OP’s post. It really says it all.
The Rokh is arguably the second best sniper BS in the game right now, with the Maelstrom being the first. It can hit out to 250km (max lock range) somehow, though you can downgrade the ammo to faction iridium and snipe at around 200km with 4x the tracking of any other BS at those distances. It also sports a huge buffer tank.
It’s disadvantage is its capacitor, I believe… even if you fit a cap injector, your cargo bay isn’t big enough to carry many boosters plus ammo plus LO for jump bridges.
With the Maelstrom and the Rokh as the best sniper BS, I’m wondering if many alliances are considering moving their fleet doctrine to shield-tanking.
To be honest it really feels like developing the resources in Dawn of Discovery, except I want to be a little bit more sure of my numbers here
We were discussing R&D agents in QT3 chat yesterday, I thought I’d drop this resource in here incase someone else decides to try to grind standings and set-up datacore farming.

This site allows you to plug in various skill values and standings, and see which R&D Agents give the best returns.
OMG, there are GIRLS on the EVE TV tournament coverage! GIRLS, I tell you! faints
;)
Dude, hate to be the one to break this to you, but you’ve fallen for a voice font. :(
So how’s the planet interaction in EVE so far?
People found a way to exploit it which allowed a character barely out of trial account to make a billion isk a month. Regrettably, I was too occupied with RL stuff to take advantage.
It involved buying the NPC orders for POS modules and refining them for massive amounts of win. This has slagged the PI market for months.
It has also nuked the pos market and I am loaded with stock! But I did get most of it at a cheap price.
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I could have used that money.
You need to resub first :p

Still my ppl in corp make good cash with PI, though they do it in W-space where the planets really have good resources. I have the skill but no time to dig into that yet, but according to them the difference between w-space and empire is huge.
Also not sure if PI is slagged for months, BS prices are falling like a stone, together with insurance and as somebody said on SHC

PI has no bearing at all on any T1 production. T1 ships and modules are constructed entirely from minerals not from anything producable in PI. The stuff that PI impacts are the industrial goods required for T2 production - Construction Blocks, Guidance Systems and so forth. The problem that the PI market will be facing is that many of those goods were NPC seeded at a fraction of their post-PI value. Guidance systems for example were NPC seeded at 418 isk per and they cost a lot more than that to create (in fact as well as the cost of production, they cost 600 Isk in customs fees just to take off planet). So there are huge (like months of the daily volume in Jita levels of huge) stockpiles of these items meaning that some PI products will take years to become profitable.

Ah sorry for not being verbose, I know PI doesnt impact BS production.
Just wanted to mention that the market is “moving” alot recently due to the new stuff introduced (insurance changes for the BS proudction) so that our traders/producers should do their research and watch out.
Havent evenlooked at trit prices, also picked up that those we’re down to 1.8 ISK.
I think we live in interesting times ;).
