They are also cheap gank ships. A disposable Thrasher can ruin the day of a reasonably well tanked Hulk and alpha most small, expensive stuff like faction frigates.

An Autocannon Thrasher at a Plex warp-in can really ruin a Dramiel’s day.

But yes, Dave should not be in a position to ever profit from Thrashers. Whoever’s flying them that way deserves to be ransomed.

Thrasher I’ll avoid. Catalysts and Cormorants are targets.

(Also, since I’m normally in a Pilgrim, I prefer blaster boats over projectile boats, since they can be handily neuted out. Missile boats are unpleasant, since I can neither neut nor TD them)

Actually, that’s not quite right. Thrasher I’ll approach with caution. Being CovOps, I’ll do reconaissance first.

Hmm, would’ve thought a Thrasher would be easy meat to +50% dps hammerhead IIs.

Assuming he has no friends, I’ll win. It’d take those guns a while to cut through 30k EHP.

But it’s much more fun when they can’t even shoot.

It’s not that you can’t tank their damage, it’s the fact that they’re probably the worst ships in the game when it comes to tanking damage. You cant really fit them with a decent tank and they’ve got a shocking sig:ehp ratio. They’re surprisingly big and made of paper.

Not to tell you your business, of course, but I can’t ever see you even struggling 1v1 with a destroyer!

Fissile materials now being created in LowSec.

Profits to follow.

(Actually, back of the envelope has it paying off the setup costs in about two days)

It’s not a ton of money – something on the order of 1-2m ISK per day, but it’s not exactly risky.

I suppose I might lose the Primae jumping systems, if I’m using that. Otherwise, I’m in a cloaked combat ship making multiple runs.

hmm you are making way more than me- I pull in maybe 3 mil a week, which is not exactly dynamite money, but it takes maybe 2 mins every 3 days to set up, so I am not complaining.

Yeah. I’m going to be triggering off extractions twice a day on the 5 hour timer.

Edit: Poking at it twice a day (5 min each), I get 180 Enriched Uranium/day. Those look to be selling for about 12k ISK/unit.

I’m working from home for a half day today and I look back over to Eve and see myself sitting at the login prompt due to an emergency reboot related to a PI problem.

Admit it Dave, you were hacking out some crazy Enriched Uranium this morning weren’t you?

Yay! I successfully moved my Pithum-A Medium Shield Booster (a .85 billion isk item) 16 jumps from Jita to my Caldari Navy Raven construction site near Kador without getting suicide ganked.

I plotted out a ~1000km instawarp undock bookmark from Jita 4 and everything.

I was going to do it in a shuttle, but I thought an Amarr executioner with a couple inertial stabilizers might actually align faster so did it in that.

its imposible for them to suicide gank you unless you do something stupid like autopilot in an iteron mark V with full cargo expanders and cargo rigs that takes 50 seconds to align.

not quite
smartbombs work well on small ships, or SBs boosted (and remote boosted) thrashers etc

for anything bigger, just apply alpha until you have enough

Yeah but they have to know you are coming and its high sec afterall, so unless you are autopiloting your way instead of jumping to zero i doubt they will have enough time to target and scan your ship for goodies.

I think the fastest lock time is around 0.8 seconds. I was just worried Warp to 0m would drop me a few metres short of the gate, giving bad people enough time to lock on to me before I could get close enough to jump to the next system. Thankfully, that didn’t happen.

So…how do you jump to zero?

He meant “Warp to 0m” with a stargate as a target.

Thanks again for sharing some of your fitting recommendations. Gank > Tank!

warping is within a system

jumping is from one system to another

the difference is subtle but its big if you are FC and have your fleet mistake warp and jump

Apart from that you warp to 0 to a gate by right click and select jump to 0 to where every you want to warp
