Also, regarding Bill’s bike:

Why was it even there? Once you remove the Audra motivation, there’s no need for Silver. In fact, it was confusing because I thought at first that it was supposed to be Bill’s “artifact” but that turned out to be the paper boat. (Hey, thanks for helping Bill with the Ritual, Pennywise!) I guess they really wanted that goofball Stephen King appearance.

Completely agree although I didn’t mind that they skipped the whole Audra thing

Oh! The other scene I hated! When adult Eddie was fighting the leper…

The leper vomits in his face, and the movie plays a snippet of Angel of the Morning . What? It was so quick and had nothing to do with the rest of the soundtrack, it felt like someone realized after it was filmed that this should be a funny scene instead of a scary/gross bit.

Right? I don’t mind cutting the Audra stuff, but why waste my time with the bike and the shop? It had nothing to do with Bill’s token quest. Were they scared the movie wasn’t long enough?

As a matter of fact, why even introduce the wife at all? Just cut it down to Bill getting the call, then telling the director he’s got to go. They didn’t have the scene from the book with the director threatening him anyway, so just cut it all.

In hindsight, the ritual doesn’t work and Pennywise knows it’s not going to work, so helpfully providing tokens (he assists Beverly on that front as well) is a great way to get them to come into It’s lair.
